Bamboozled by Bangladesh
by Terrence Nazareth on Mar 19, 2007 07:38 PM  Permalink

Thank God, I do not have cable connection because of exams of my children. Otherwise, I would have wasted my precious time and energy in watching the shit dished out by what we call Stars of Team India. But one thing positive is Saurav Ganguly kept the teams flag flying high.

The Cricket team should be a BCCI TEAM not an Indian Team, The Government must take action against BCCI.

Youth Power
by Narayanan Sangameswaran on Mar 19, 2007 05:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India should have noticed Bangladesh when they defeated New Zealand in the warmup game. That should have been a wakeup call. The Indian team ignored it. Then, they won the toss but Dravid again ignored to read the strength of the opponents and was stuck up in the past about his opinion on B'desh team. His guess was even if the pitch plays bad for batsmen in the first half, India has the batting ability to post a good total and could bundle out the opponents later. Look at the B'desh team. Excepting two everyone is under 25. Look at our team. Everyone is going to stay until they get a WC. Sachin has told that he would be playing 2011 WC. Only God can save this team. No use of us getting frustated.

Sachin is great player, but he should give chances to others if he is not playing upto the mark...so as any player...they should move out voluntarily...or perform consistently like Lara despite age factor...I sincerely feel India does not deserve to be in next stage...I will support Bangladesh and Sri Lanka...hope SL wins their match against us....please

All thanks to politics of money, power (read Pawar Vs Dalmiya), ( More,Chappel vs Ganguly) and a complete fleet of non criketor spokesman of BCCI dominating every corner of news channels. Outcome is obvious and it is not surprising at all.

Salute to Our National Heroes
by Srinivasu N on Mar 19, 2007 05:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Great Salute to National Heroes(except Ganguly,Yuvraj and Munaf)
Sehwag forgot how to connect his bat to straight ball.He need to spend some more time in ads to get back rhythm
Dravid is simply great in technique on how to earn more and how to convince people eventhough India loses

BCCI should sack Sehwag(I don't know why Dravid still believe in Sehwag),Dravid(Useless captain),Sachin(No use),Dhoni(Good for modelling),Harbhajan(Forgot how to spin ball),Kumble(Lazy fellow),Agarkar(Lost the charm).
We missed Kaif(who can do the same way as Collingwood helps English Team),Romesh Power(Far better than Harbhajan),Karthick(Better than Dhoni).

I wish India should lose match against Bermuda today otherwise BCCI / Team India will never come out with serious changes in the near future.

why the hell Cricket is given such big fame ?
by Tushar on Mar 19, 2007 05:20 PM  Permalink

Does cricket need more fame in our Country ? Media have made Cricket God in India.. pls stop this.
Or else worst performance by Team will do it automatically. There are many other important things in India than 'chap' cricket and 'overpaid' cricketers.

world cup 83
by ananth nipani on Mar 19, 2007 05:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Remember during 1983 against Zimbabwe India were reeling at 19 for 5, at Trent Bridge. Kapil's heroic 175 aided by defiant 39 by Kirmani saved the day. If these 2 had flopped India would have had to return. But where do you have such allrounders. Even after repeated failures just because the captain wants him Sewag is in the team. Match by match, Wasim Jaffer has performed much better than Sewag since the last one year. But he is dropped. Where do we go from here? Sometimes I feel cricket should be banned for 2 years, so that the hype dies down.
