You guys cannot understand politics
by Srinivas on Apr 05, 2007 07:25 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hey,
Vengsarkar is a proxy for Gavaskar. These two are the main culprits for the disaster. Gavaskar always supports Ganguly (Rohan Gavaskar got a chance to play in Bengal team). And Ganguly made his way back into the team, once Vengsarkar is back. Along came Zaheer Khan, Kumble forgotten people in ODI. Ganguly and Harbajan both fought hard to fail India.

The real culprits by S Rajesh
http://contentgulf.cricinfo.com/india/content/current/story/288746.html

While India's players blame their recent poor form on everything from a manipulative coach to a sense of insecurity to an indifferent captain, the plain truth is this: When it really mattered, India's batsmen failed to deliver. It's a fact that has been obscured by emotion, hype and selective memory but a reading of the statistics is revealing.

gangyly should retire
by Suman Bhat on Apr 04, 2007 12:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ganguly had big role in defeat in mathch against Bangladesh. He gifted match t o bangaldesh deliberately playing negative cricket just to humiliate dravid and to take revenge against chappell ?? but he betrayed the whole team ganguly wasted more balls than runs he scored poor fielding and poor running wkt and unwilling to take singles cost more runs to team also created pressure on batsman on other side He did not bother to try and hold an easy catch during agarka bowling , Never tried to accelerate run rate He did not tried to hold simple catch during agarkar%u2019s bowling
60 runs in 130 balls how it can help a team cause?? Ganguly had one stage for having batted through nearly 11 overs to make a mere 7 runs.
Yuvraj Scored 47 runs in 10 overs India Scored 191 in 50 overs
Ganguly Scored 66 runs in 21 overs wasted more balls than runs he scored.,
Yuvraj Scored 47 runs in 10 overs
Rest of team scored 50 in 19 overs
Against burmada Ganguly scored 89 in 114 balls wasted 25 balls that is around 4.6 runs per over... compare it to the indian teams average of 8.26
Ganguly was struggling while batting against burmuda, and got 3 lifes Ganguly 7 in 23 balls against SL
Ganguly did return with team but nest day when arrived in kolkat airport media said he got a warm welcome He was not team uniformGanguly success is b'cuz of dravid contribution in tests and sachin contribution in oids.. Not B'CUZ OF HIS LEADERSHIP OR AGRESSION
GANGULY %u2018S SELFISH, OPPERTUNIST, CUNNING POLITICIAN AND PROMOTING GROUPISM AND NOT BATHER ED IF TEAM WINS OR NOT
GANGULY IS MAIN CULPRIT IN DEBACLE OF WC HE SHOULD BE OUT OF IND TEAM FOR TESTS AND ODIS team went final in WC2003 bcuz sachin batted brilliently. he scored 33%of total runs and won MOS and best batsman.
NOT B'CUZ OF GANGULY CAPTAINCY OR LEADERSHIP,
srinath bowled well and dravid ketp wkts to accomodate one more batsman
No player played negative cricket that team should loolse. But this time some players were not with team or captain
. And WC event is best place to humiliate captain. One win would made team to in Sleague and there won%u2019t be any change
in some players deliberately played negative cirkcet and betrayed team and ditched captain.
But this time it is ganguly sachin, dhoni, harbjan betryaed team and ditched the captaint
non cooperation of some players to captain is failue and cause for defeat
who is running in front for captaincy race ????

I
Names       Matches       Won       Lost       Drawn/Tied       Won%
SC Ganguly             146      76      65 &nbs p;    5      52.05%
R Dravid              65      33       28       4       50.77%
Ganguly had advantage of leading team for maximu nos of matches and 5 yr lengthier period and 31 wins against weaker team dravid only captian for 16 months and difference in winning average is only 1.22%
Ganguly is seofish, opportunist politician he can ditch dalmiya and dravid and do it anybody

when ganguly became captain indian team was in shit.he groomed the team and made it team india.all the present expectations are because of his work.dravid just continued from where ganguly left.
don't take away credit from ganguly.stats are just on paper.his decisions and his man management were much better.
iam a great admirer of dravid but ganguly was a better captain.

ganguly.. our superhero.
by on Apr 04, 2007 05:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All the bhattacharya's, mukherjee's, chodhury's in this forum are right... Ganguly truly is a legend when we play the minnows. His performance against bangladesh and bermuda is a case in point. Scored great half century's in them. They should just make him the captain for the next series against bangladesh, cuz' he'll actually do great against them. He should be played whenever we play all these non-test playing teams and the recently inducted test teams. His 66 runs in 130 balls was the greatest spectacle to watch against such a powerful bowling line up. He was makin up for missin the test series in west indies a year back. Guys, sarcasm aside, if there is anyone to blame apart from the fact that the team failed. It should be sehwag and ganguly. The experienced openers of the Indian team. Ganguly brought the team down with his strike rate. I doubt if there is any instance of any other batsman in the current line up scoring a half century at such a shoddy rate. The openers in the team set the course for the entire teams batting. How can you blind side the slowness with which he 'saved' india's innings. He doesnt have the nous to win a game on his shoulders at his present state... cuz' he's way to materialistic for a team sport.

CLEARLY THAT WAS A OFF DAY FOR GANGULLY ( OR THE PRESSURE FROM THE TEAM MANAGEMENT??) BUT JUST CHECK EXCEPT YUBRAJ WHICH OTHER ESTABLISHED INDIAN BATSMAN HAS BETTER STRIKE RATE THEN GANGULY? SO NOW IT IS PROVEN THAT EVEN AT HIS WORST DAYS HE IS BETTER THAN THE REST...STOP YOUR RECIST NON SENCE AND DON'T TRY TO DISGUISE THE FACTS ....
WHICH OTHER INIDAN CAPTAIN WON A SERIES AGAINST AUSTRALIA ? WENT WC FINAL? WON CHAMPIONS TRIPHY? RUNNERS IN CT? .. YOUR FAV MR. DRAVID COULD'T EVEN WIN B'DESH WHY SHOULD WE MAKE HIM CAPTIAN AT ALL?

Greg Chappel's statment Senior's mafia
by Narasimham on Apr 03, 2007 09:43 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Probably all the cricket fans must have seen Greg's statement about the seneior players mafia and Sourav&Co influence on Dravid with minor support of seniors (if the news is correct) and my doubt about Ganguly's influence on Zaheer,Sehwag,Harbajan & Yuvraj cacus confirming my belief, more so the way Yuvraj's run out against SL. Whoever is the culprit/culprits should be shown the doors. These players don't deserve to be in Team India. The betrayers who don't have pride for themselves, nor for the millions of fans of Great India. They are given every thing by the fans love, fame, money and worship. The BCCI should throughly enquire and expose the betrayers, with out any mercy for their earlier services to country.

by abhishek singh on Apr 02, 2007 02:25 PM  Permalink
u gave the wonderful summary abut indian cricket team. u r right, ganguly is playing politics but also as u know cricket then dravid is not a good captain coz he is not a quick decider and does not realise that how to use his players as aur former caption ajahruddin was. any way i think we 1st have to choose a good coach and then good team. then choose a good team leader but ganguly as a leader ....never. they have to realise that we r indian so play cricket as a team not polytics.
thanx yaar

RE:We have lost the race world cup a year back, when Dravid became captain
by Suman Bhat on Apr 05, 2007 04:57 PM  Permalink
when sachin was captain, ganguly deliberately did not play and made sure team lost many matches. So sachin has to leave captaicny and ganguly became captain. Druing five of his captainy it was sahin, dravid laxman and kuble put their heart and soul to their performance and brought many victories and ganguly took the credit as succssful captain. for the hard work of this 4 players.
Now he had made a comeback and started groupism and used WC such big event to humiliiate the dravid and chappplell. an early exit from the wc means dravid not good captain and ganguly;'s records whon't harm. He betrayed his own teammates plaayed deleberately negaitve cricket and with his chamachas bajji, dhoni, zahirkahn and ditched dravid.
ganguly is not leader or tiger he is selfish
oppertuninst and cunnuing politician
