cricket

None of them batted well, excluding Yuvraj, the way Saurav consumed all the balls itself told the story what was to follow as the others comming in too tried that, instead of following their own style of batting, what I feel is that most of them were too defensive and were scared if they will become out. The tension of the World Cup. The worst batting line up in the world is from India as a team, offcourse individually they might be strong. Shewag if he is there should be asked to play his own style of game, but I personally feel he should be out. Lets accept the fact that he was a good player, but lets also accept the fact that he is not in that skill anymore, so we need to take strong decisions and drop him. Offcourse Dravid and others have a soft corner for this guy for his perevious performance, we all know that. BUT WE NEED TO GO AHEAD

u idiot bengali!Though Ganguli made 66 but he consumed too many balls for the same.He gave the upper hand too bangaldeshis.Openers job is to hit over the top.Its not the first time india had lost two early wickets but ganguly played as if the bangaldseis bowlers are unplayable. He gave negative attitude to batsmen who follwed him.But I agree it was a collective underperformance by all.But ganguly didnt do any good to team as he failed miserably whenever he danced down the track to hit a six or four. Also he ditched the team in the last stages when he should have continued batting aggressively. He really put alot of pressure on dhoni and all tailenders by getting out at wrong timing. He knew the pitch as he stayed there for 129 balls but didnt hit any fours or sixes in last overs.
but bottomline everybody performed badly except yuvraj and munaf patel.

Indian fans
by Abhi on Mar 18, 2007 10:30 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Indian public talks about the pathetic records of players. What about the records of the fans?

1. Putting a stand in Eden Gardens on fire in 1996 WC when they could not take in their stride that India will lose to SL.

2. Stopping a match in Asian Test Championship in Calcutta in 1999.

3. Throwing stones at West Indies team in Jamshedpur in 2002 and stopping a match when India wa slosing.

4. Digging up the Wankhede pitch before Pakistan were about to arrive in 1999.

There are many more incidents like this.
So who are worse??? Indian cricketers or Indian cricket fans??? A good point to debate perhaps.

Fans are not responsible to the players, but the players are responsible to the fans.

Fans pay to watch and the players get paid.

Yes it is very true. India as a country is full of people who doesnt have enough brain to decide which is important. May be some literacy could help these barbarians.

Let's Boycott the all the products endorsed by the Cricketers
by Juzer H on Mar 18, 2007 10:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

For the good of the nation, let us boycott all the products endorsed or advertised by the cricketers.

We want our cricketers to bring laurels for the nation, not disgrace.

We want our cricketers, who wish to represent the country, focus on their cricket and not spend any time on advertisement or glamour.

We have right to demand 100% commitment from our cricketers.

It's time to act, now.

You are absolutely correct. Boycotting the products is not the answer. We should demand the corporations to pull out their adds from all media. We have to tell corporates not to take their endorsements. These sportsmen are so commercialized that they forget playing and concentrate on bandannas hairstyle and freeking everything other than the sport which made them popular in the first place.

It is hightime we as Indians encourage other sports like football, hockey and for the fact atleast ask our govt to start training camps for Olympics with a 20 year plan.

Its not Kaif, give a chance to Dinesh Karthick to get control in middle order batting.
Sehwag should be called back immediately to join his wife for wearing saree.

Pull out all the Ads
by iamansp on Mar 18, 2007 10:25 PM  Permalink

All the corporates have to pull out their cricket ads from television. Agreed that Bangladesh played better cricket. It is bad team selection and judgment on the part of India. I may not have played professional cricket, but our teams lacks the hunger for success. They are always concerned about their next AD film.
All the corporates have to pull out the ads involving Indian cricketers until they put up a good fight and reach the Semis.

Our batting failed us. What is the point of having a batting average greater than 40 if you dont have the heart to give a fight in a match.

Beating Sri Lanka a must
by Ravi K on Mar 18, 2007 10:24 PM  Permalink

India is in disadvantage. Srilanka is a not a team to go down so easily with India. Tough times ahead to fro Team India.

Well it's time to take some break from cricket and concentrate on their coursework for students who have examinations.
