I fully agree with you guys. Simple solution , take away all their money earned from advertisements. Leave them in Nagpur without clothes this entire summer

no that much punishment is not required. just cut off all their match fees and contracts and ask them to pay hotel and other bills whenever they loose a match. then u can see them play.

Bas apni team to ADS ke layak hi hai...The Australian selection policy is the BEST, if they find that u haven't scored well or performed well in at least two departments (out of batting, bowling and fielding), u r thrown out of the team irrespective of who u r. Yahan to sehwag kha kha ke mota ho gaya hai...run nahi banaata ...phir bhi team mein pada hai...c'mon guyz give anybody else a chance..

I would say even Bangladesh selection was good most of them were youngsters and talented. India & Pak are playing with old people who delieverd good results when they were youngsters.
Countries like Bangladesh,England & Ireland are able to produce some good youngsters. These countries are smaller than one of our states in India. We do have lot of youngsters but they can get the chance only this old people can get out of their way.
May be we also need to divide our teams in to EASt,west south & north india and play like UK.
Schewag, dravid etcs it is time for you guys to end the career in high profile

It was a pathetic display by the Indian team. There is no doubt now that the Indians will be defeated by Bermuda and Srilanka in the remaining league matches. It is better if the Indian team voluntarily withdraws from World cup and comes back home to avoid any further humiliation and embarassment.

Profession
by GIRISH SONPAROTE on Mar 18, 2007 12:49 PM  Permalink

Why we indian people do not understand that our indian players are not playing for our country they are playing only for money and it is their profession and we unnecessay waste our valuable time behind them in watching cricket by taking leave from office or keeping our valuable work aside. Also I feel cricket for indian team has become more commercial. This current indian team can take inspiration from the 1983 world cupt team or 1985 Bensen and Hedges cup team which both we had won under the captancy of Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar.

The Leson For sponsors
by ravi ranjan on Mar 18, 2007 12:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Though I am an avid cricketing fan and supporter of India, Still i believe that cricket has commodify beyond the status of a game, Since Pakistan is already out and India is onte verge of being out. Isnt that a lesson for the sponsors like hutch, hero honda and so many others including satmax who has already invested multimillion carores in this event, Also for the self intest news channels those are barking for months and creating the nonsence atmosphere for world cup by giving the absurd and non innovative programs about it. Cricket is all about performances and not just about keeping styles with the fashion and wardrobe. You are being taught a lesson, wonderfully we will be saved with low quality telecast by satmax, you satmax guys havnt u seen the channel 9 even a single time when you have thought about coverage the most important event in this game. Now take a lesson, nobody will awake till 4am to watch the match.

Very very true. Set max and doordarshan are the worst broadcasters.Set max is not showing even the full over. Before the ball reaches back to the keeper, the ads start blaring. I have sweared that i will NOT buy the products of which the ads are being shown. I urge all Indians to do the same, so that it can send a lesson to the brodcasters that they are ads in between criket, and not cricket in between ads.

Because Indian cricket team is highly overrated, overpaid, overhyped and a bunch of losers whom we have made Gods out of.

There are more deserving sportsmen than the cricketers for e.g the tennis stars, the chess players, hocky players, footballers or even athletes. Only thing is that we choose to ignore all of them. It is a known fact that many of such people live in substandard conditions.
