you can't include Uttappa and Sehawag together, because both are unpredictable..you have to select only one.. Both are like a bet in "Casino Royale"..! ha! ha! My dear brother Greg is not 007..ha! ha!

Then why you selected him for the world cup, just for one match and then for the rest of the series just to roam and doing fun on beatches??..ha! ha! What do you mean by last chance Mate..! India have to play alleast 9 matches in this world cup( I'm including super 8)...If this is a last chance for him and he failed then on whome you rely on...Uttappa who is as unpredictable as Sehwag?? Atleast sehwag can do some bowling...both Utthappa and Sehwag are unpredictable players but Rahul and my dear brother Greg should bet on Sehwag simply because of his experiance and bowling prowess..!
Dear brother greg..! Many people say Irfan Pathan and Sehwag is of no value for the team...but i feel that both of them are really valuable for the team simply because of there experience and proven ability to win matches on there own.
For pathan i would say he is not delivering as a bowler right now but he is far better as a batsman both on no. 3 position or at no. 7 position(after dhoni) he is a brilliant fielder and who knows on his day he can devastate the batting order of any given team..
For sehwag also every body know what he is capable of on a given day..there is no point commenting on that but what Indian team is expecting for sehwag is his bowling prowess with his experience. I think Indian team should bet on Sehwag rather then Uthappa for opening and Pathan should play all the time in the final 11 in this world cup.. India should go with five bowlers in this match with playing both the spiners... There is a hipe around that Bangladesh can upset India but it is far from reality...come on mates..get real! Banglades can compete better then Kenya or Zimbabwe but can not upset India or top 8 test playing nations...!! CAN NOT..!!

who is this dumbo IAN CHAPPEL ???? he says:
- 'Then why you selected Sehwag for the world cup' = i didnt select sehwag man, im not on the selection committee
- 'then for the rest of the series just to roam and doing fun on beatches??..ha! ha!' = haha very funny you cant spell beaches
- 'What do you mean by last chance Mate..!' = when did I say last chance
- 'You have selected Uttappa?? who is as unpredictable as Sehwag??' = who says so, are you mad, do u have any brains ? you know what your head is full of bull shit
- 'should bet on Sehwag simply because of his experiance and bowling prowess..!' = how many bowlers do you need ? this is 50 overs tournament you dont need more than 6/7 and i have more than that already
get this shit headed ian chappel out of this forum and send him to australia
the pitch is slow DOES NOT mean that we shouldnt select 4 pacers. actually it would be a plus cuz the ball would stop on the batsmen and there is a GREAT chance of them offering unintentional catches. we have the same problem with our pitch and it always has the batsmen fail against pacers. spinners should be selected over pacers on flat or turning surfaces. PACERS have had more success getting wickets and keeping things tight in this WC so far. just compare the pacers against the spinners in all of the matches so far and u'll see what im talking about. i hate to see even experts saying spinners have a huge role to play in this cup. franklin, bond, and oram kept things tight for NZ, vettori went for 50 without ANY wickets. also medium pacer styris had more success econ rate & wicket-wise than offbreaker jeetan patel in the same game. SO i say 4 pacers and 1 quality spinner is the way to go. if u look at india 5 pacers might not be a bad idea either, i mean we have sachin and yuvraj to handle some spin if needed. KUMBLE can be lethal in these conditions though. he can get the ball to bounce often and he could be very unpredictable on slow pitches. he is a rather pacey spinner, thats why he could be so effective here. Also sreesanth and munaf have that special ability to make batsmen play more so than even zaheer. but i think zaheer and munaf should open the bowling and sreesanth should come in third with the 4th pacer (agarkar or pathan) to join him in the attack. munaf should be preserved for the slog overs if wickets are hard to come by, he is a good closer though he is kinda susceptible to pressure at times. sreesanth has also done better at the end more so than agarkar. i dont know why people are so hyped about agarkar now. his deliveries look rather ordinary and he doesnt have enough penetration in his bowling. SO my team (listed by batting order) Ganguly Uthappa Dravid Sachin Yuvraj Dhoni Pathan/Agarkar Kumble/Bhajji Zaheer Sreesanth Munaf
I think picking Pathan would round out the Indian team fully balanced and the best it can be at this time. Personally Sehawag should have been left home and some young cricketer should have been given a chance to gain some much needed experience to flourish.
Selection of Uthappa is one of 2 biggest risks India has taken.. the other being Sehwag. Uthappa does not have the experience needed at this level.. will see
