Indian Team by Pankaj Mudgal on March 17,2007 1.40 PM. My Indian team v/s Bangladesh 1- Robin 2- Ganguly 3- Tendulkar 4- Dravid 5- Virendra Sehwag 6- Karthick 7- Dhoni 8- Munaf 9- Harbajan 10 Agarkar 11- Zaheer
I would make one change to the current team and omit Munaf Patel from the lineup. In the last match he was bowling at 125Kmph which is to say he was actually trundling in at great line and length .It would be better to take Sreesanth and omit Munaf because he is likely to be found out against good teams who will hammer this club type bowling. Line and length is fine but it should be allayed with good pace. Sree is a better option as he is capable of giving some runs but can be an outright matchwinner with his ability to swing the ball at high speed. Munaf should be dropped for teaching him a lesson . This kid is indisciplined has lost his pace probably the will to do well also should be straightaway dropped . Also we in India analyse our batting too much and I am surprised i have not heard or read a word about Munaf's serious drop in pace this guy is a disgrace such clowns should be sacked straight away.

Munaf has the ability to raise his pace when the situation so demands.... no doubt Shreesanth is damn good but he needs to learn to adapt...
Munaf is like Mohd Asif not quite Pollock yet forget Mcgrath... but thats the way he is bowling which is admirable....
Its easy when you are a young fast bowler to get excitable and bowl as quick as possible.... far more difficult to restrain yourself and adjust to the situation....
remember last time when Zaheer did a Sreesanth in the World Cup Final just how badly we performed !!
Exuberance yes is required but tempered by experience !!

I think u have forgot that Munaf is the fastest among the Indian when he passes MRF pace foundation. Main thing is that we need wickets.Whether by pace or by good line & lenght it doesnt matter. He has done a good job in West Indies. Atleast give him two chance & then watch he is a club standard or not. Dont predict before this. Now he is the pick of the Indian bowlers.
The team selected looks alright for even the finals, if and when we reach. While Uthappa is the natural choice on current form Virendra Shewag (a proven match winner not erstwhile ago). Let us assume Uthappa comes up well against Bangladesh, then Shewag cannot get a chance for him to stage a comeback. As teams sorted out Sehwag, they will also most likely to sort out Uthappa too. Then it will be too late and fatal to rush in Sehwag. I think Sehwag should play the first match, where even if he fails India should win. If he fails, then there is no option left out. Kumble should alone or with Harbajan must play against tougher opponents where we should aim to take all 10 wickets rather than controlling the run rate which I feel the right tactic to win.

My favourite team is Ganguly,Robin,Sachin,Dravid,Yuvraj,Dhoni,Kartik,Agarkar,Zaheer,Harbhajan,Munaf Patel India win world cup
I would like to suggest that Sehwag should be dropped and Zaheer,Irfan,Munaf,Shreesant, and one spinner should inlude in every match,Utappa ang Ganguly should open.
Choose anybody, India is going to beat B'desh. Those of you who think otherwise should attend some classes on positive thinking. If you devote too much time in discussing team against minnows, then by the time it is required , you might have exhausted all options. Come on pals, India is going to win this match. Enjoy our batting and bowling as we love to see our players perform.
