Absolutely a great feat .!!
by bharani damuluri on Mar 17, 2007 12:22 AM  Permalink

It is absolutely a great feat to watch. Had it been the 50 over match, they would have surely crossed 500 runs, which is another record in history ....great going guys and good spirit in ODIS

india learn from southafrica.
by kunal kamlesh patel on Mar 17, 2007 12:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

we have mahendra singh dhoni who can hit 6 sixes but has lost so much confidence due to being sent always 6-7.
we have sehwag who wanted to hit more then 200 runs in an odi.look what dravid n press done to him. he doesnt even play on his instincts, which is the only way he know, and has started doubting it.resulting into strike rate of 70-80 falling from 100.
while G.smith who failed so much against india, south africa stood by him. G.Smith himself stood up for h.gibbs and a.b.devilliers when they were continously failing.
this world cup with small grounds will be won by heroics more then planning.
learn india n and its people.
support heroic people like sehwag then forsake them.dont forget all the greats failed in last years worldcup, coz they lack heroics, only sehwag scored.wish we had dhoni back then.how diff things wld have been.

well then remove poor captains.give more power to dhoni and then see who fails.
that guy has not got a chance to bat up the order since long.captains decide that.not dhoni.
make more sense when u use strong statements like that after watching a movie like rocky.

Very correct...It was Garry Sobers.
And not its first time in WC but also in any international cricket. Ravi Sastri and Sobers has both hit it in first class cricket. Ravi while playing Ranji and Sobers playing County.

I dont think an indian player will manage to repeat this feat.
Instead they should try something more different and realistic - LOSING 6 WICKETS IN AN OVER

We play gully cricket better
by Siddhartha Maitra on Mar 17, 2007 12:15 AM  Permalink

I am not surprised. The Dutch just dont know where to pitch the ball. In fact we bowl better while playing Gully Cricket. I can bet even an average Indian gully cricketer wont get hit for 6 sixes in an over.
