its really sad & pathetic that a guy like Saurav Ganguly who had more than 10000 runs into his credit was made to sit for more than 18 months, but for a player like Sehwag its just a privilege.
Come on LELEji...one does not need 16 innings to prove..I think Shewag has had enough...we could have gone with VVS to stregnten the batting....at least VVS know to stay on the wicket.....grow up guys...keep your sentiments away...this is the difference between us and the Aussies.

Uma.. I believe that people like you have to grow up.. If VVS has scored a brilliant 160 odd runs in a single day as an opener against Aussies in Australia so has Viru who scored an awesome 195 in just two sessions against aussies in Australia.. If VVS scored 281 Viru scored 309.. and has played more and more great innings for India.. and did win matches single handedly both with the bat and ball.. Every player has to go thru lean patches in his career.. VIRU WILL BOUNCE LIKE A LION.....

By the way 54 of 75 balls is not a bad. one must bat to situation.
On an Average (all matches, all team) the teams score 250 runs in 50 overs. depending on the pitch there would be high scoring matches scoring between (270 - 290) and also low scoring matches scoring between 200 - 225).
There are 300 gunine balls bowled in an innings. The teams scores 250 runs of which 15 to 20 will be extras. So Effectively the batsman scores 235 runs of 300 balls so the strike rate of the team is 78.3 The openers have the better chance of scoring at faster rate than middle order as they have the advantage of field ristriction which middle order batsman will not have. Also middle order will have to stabilise in case early wicket falls.

Sehewag won't dominate WC at all. On the contrary, every bowler will dominate Sehewag. Dhoni will definitely do better as he has become more mature player.
The joke is Shewag will dominate the game. It will great if he could score double figures. Shewag done loads in past but this not time to be so thankful to him. More over Indian should be Confident, not selfish and should learn to fight back and play under pressure. We have good skills and we are capable of doing it. When considering Individual preformance we have stars. Let put together as a team and set a goal to bring back world cup.
