How long are we going to live in past glory....Wonder why these guys are not talking about bringing Sunil Gavaskar back...he is also special!
Simple rule is - nobody including sehwag, sachin, saurabh and dravid should take his place granted in the team. Either perform or perish....we can live forever under past glories which are fading fast from our memories!

The question of "Instead" never arises because he himself was an "otherwise"!!! But he should be in the team, otherwise whom shall we talk about? It would be horrible, having no one to talk about, isn't it?

Hi,
There were no words to explain about viru. In his name viru is there but he was nver viru. but you see our bengal tiger he is a real tiger. The way our BCCI treated him was really worst.. But he returned to team like a real hero. I think treatment given to our dada they should give the same treatment to him... I dont know selectors know that viru was completely out of form but why they selected him for WC...there were many players like lakshman, kaif who are not in good form but great than viru who siuts for these sort of pitches kaif a perfect feilder and lakshman stylish batsman and good timer of the ball. but we need a player like him to play in this WC ........ It is better to send viru to home ... and call lakshman.... i think ICCI will agree for this change...

I think people are unnecessarily making fuss about Sehwag's form. He is very talented and I am sure he will the most successful batsman for India in this World Cup. Just wait & watch !!

Sehwag Dravid - Kya yaraana hai
by Niraj Dayal on Mar 10, 2007 01:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If India loses some key games because of Sehwag, what explanation Mr. Dravid will offer to the country ? Is he accountable to BCCI only and not to the country ? We are religiously praying and doing what not and leaving important jobs are glued before our TV sets to see India winning and not support Dravid in his blind support of Sehwag. Why Dravid cannot be charged of match fixing knowing fully well that Sehwag is not clicking ? He should come out in open and tell the world as to how many more chances he is going to give to Mr. Sehwag. He can't take the entire country for a ride. What say you guys ?

because he is not competent...and so is sehwag! i hope you got the answer! Mr. Sehwag is getting paid to play and just like any other job there are performance appraisals here too....and we are entitled to raise questions...because viewers run the cricketing industry! got it mr. saravanan.

Dear Niraj Dayal,

Nobody supports you.

It is obvious every captain should support their players expecially before such mega event. Like we common citizens and media, a captain cannot criticise his player right away. If he also critises him, then it will lead to weaken his confidence further. So what every captain has to do that only Dravid did on Sehwag.

For ex. if u get poor marks in school, everyone critices u, but not your parents. They should support you and give more confidence, so that u perform well. A captain also like that.

We all know what is the potential of Sehwag. Such bad patch in the career has happened all so called big players such as Sachin, Dravid and Sourav. They survived and still surviving because their captains have supported them in their bad patches. This is true not only in cricket, but in real life.

As an indian citizen, at this point, we should wish the team all success and should not criticise. It is not the right time to critcise.

Well said Niraj . Opinion of Mr Dayal is rubbish specially on match mixing . It means any player who is in bad form should be regarded as Match Fixer ??? What is this ??? Dayal Stop this & express your opinion in right & postive way .Remember , we are Indian & not pakistani where every one suspect of match fixing if Pakistani loose any match.

sehwag
by bachanjeet singh on Mar 10, 2007 01:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It was very bad on the part of sehwag for not scoring runs but unfortunate part has been that he did not stay at the wicket for one over. With as many as 50 overs to play and less than 100 runs to score, he could not even stay of one over.
Dravid and Greg Chappel should thing hundreds time before playing him in the next world match.
If he is allowed to play, he should come down at fifth down.

5 Down???? U kidding i believe :) He has to come in the 11th position and that 2 if he is selected for the match or else he has to come back. He is suitable for the ad in which the WI guy tells "Gobi Parata, Aloo Parata..."
