You are the one who is writing crap ... go and check the ICC website which confirms the information of the author.
I think author is confused about B1 & B2, team who tops the group is to be considered as B1, & it will probably be India, which will prove all the prediction of author wrong. "DIKHAWE PAR MAT JAO APNI AKAL LAGAO"
hello the author of message i am not sure about ur confidence that india is B-2 i am confident if our boys play well its not difficult to beat srilanka against whom we have a good world cup record but for 96 cup.its only who plays well an important issue and also dont underestimate bangladesh it beat kiwis stating that it cannot be underestimated so we have to watch till 26 march to know who is where
i cannot understand what's the big deal in what icc has done! it doesn't alter the fact that all teams that make it to the super 8s will have to play each other (with the exception of any ties taken place at the group stage), and therefore the level of competition is the same. and it's not as complex as its being made out to be, it's not rocket science!
all the ICC's raking rule does is to bring predictability to the schedule, which apart from giving higher revenues (to all who'll make revenues), also makes it easier on people wanting to watch matches at the venue or on telly.
going back to the money issue, why should sponsors and television channels not make good money? after all they have caughed up enough and more to get the rights to the event. and its this money that ensures that the sport is played as best as it can (facilities for players and for spectators at the venues, etc.), and part of it funds developing the sport in different parts of the world, tournaments including the world cup at the junior level etc. and for this they should get something in return! they don't run charities after all.
and it's bizarre on our part to complain. but for these people "who are making money", we would not get to see matches from this upcoming tournament (and that would be a pity, as it seems like the most balanced world cup ever with atleast 6 top teams in with a real chance to win it).
this seems more like a case of wanting to make news out of nothing, if not that of sour grapes. imagine that india's matches for the super 8s were scheduled on weekdays. then the same people who are pointing fingers at the ICC and the telly channels, would crib about people not being able to watch matches, and it being bad for cricket. also we, the cricket crazy publc, most likely take leave/skip office or maybe watch match sitting at the office conference room. and then there would be the moral brigade mourning the numerous number of man hours wasted watching cricket!
It's a shame that ICC has predicted that there will be no under dogs. They should have played the WC with 8 team then. Why the hell then teams like Bangladesh, Kenya etc are going the World Cup. Have they already scheduled who will play the big final. I assume they have already written the name of the winner team on the CUP. What a shame!!
The terms like A1, A2 are just there to confuse the viewers. The World cup is scheduled in such a way that they have already predicted that only those top 8 team will enter the super eight stage. And each of them is scheduled to play the other 7 team before they enter the knock out stage. For eg:- India will play against SriLanka in the group stage and will play the rest 6 in the super eight stage. You will now get that those terms A2 Vs B2 were all just to confuse the viewers. You can already replace the team name with A2, B2 etc.

The teams that go into the second round dont play the other seven. They play against the other six. The seventh side is the other team from its own pool. For Example, if India and Sri Lanka advance from Group B, then they will not play against each other again in the super 8 round matches.

Correction: You can already replace A2, B2 etc with team names.

Max will be showing both of the India's warm up matches live no other channel will show it.
All carribean pitches look like sub continent pitches and i think sub continent batsman and bowler will enjoy. Most pitches looks like spin freindly rather than pace. So keep your finger crossed world cup is coming our way.
