"bunch of jokers" who look for media to help .. if at all Pathans fitness was in doubt.. it should have been discussed with him.. and not discussed or let out to the media to put more pressure on him.. it now looks as though the presurre on the player only works only when the presurre is created by the media on his performance..
Come on India BE POSITIVE. I am glad that India has selected it's best team. We must stop playing the blame game and support the team and pray that they return with what we have been waiting for last 24years. Thats true..They did not learn from wesindies tour.. they should think about wesindies tour..10-0 85-0. India need one batsman instead of Pathan..

Learning from WI tour???Then why after Irfan alone?Whatz Viru doing in the team?Where's KAIF?????
well i thought there was some hope for Ramesh Powar....had Vengsarkar included him,he wud `ve been stamped as being partial for a mumbaikar...well cant help it but it wud ve been gr8 2 c somebody(read Powar) who typically plays with much needed(but strikingly missing in indian team!) australian instincts.
M. Amaranath told once that Indian selectors are bunch of jokers. And the trend these days justifies the same and it is really sad when some one like Vengsarkar is the chairman of selection committe. Players like Pathan. sehwag are just treated to immense pressure and humility by subjecting them to a lot of dilemma. I dont think by this way of selection any player who is not doing will get his confident boosted. Question if a player is not doing well then drop him and let him play in domestic cricket until he gets his rithm back and gets his confidence back too. This cannot be done by one or two domestic matches. It takes time. We select some one irrespective of his bad form and send him back during half ay of the tour telling him to play domestic cricket, then again select him after one or two matches and again tell him to prove his fitness and again select him based on few overs of performance. Does that mean that we dont have enough players in whole of India to replace out of form playesr ? What if they fail again ? Will they be told to play one more match in domestic to prove their capability. This kind selection policy will definitely harm the players carrier.
