I have paid to DirectTV last September the same amount that is advertised here. And they had given me champions trophy free for that rate. Way to go DirecTV.

Avi in INDIA the other thing that comes to mind after ur personal life is Cricket..So take a break maan and get a real life....
I have been subscribing to Echostar (thru Willow.tv) for over 2 years. The viewing is real good - definitely better than those non-paying / low paying webcasts.

I have been EchoStar's customer since 1997 and yes have watched cricket (sometimes paid premium price just to be able to watch cricket in US). If Echostar/Dish Network had a competitor, I would have switched lon g long time ago. They are in the business of ripping off folks in US who did not have any other means to watch LIVE cricket.
But not anymore. I am happy watching it on Broadbank INTERNET. With technology fast improving and cost declining, it is the best solution. I watch on wireless INTERNET, and with so many tools around, I even get my laptop to connect to the BIG SCREEN and enjoy CRICKET for US$5.00 per match, instead of outrageously priced 199.99 for all matches. Why would I care about subscribing to watch Kenya, Scotland or Canada macthes when I am only bothered about INDIA ?

My friend I have tried to watch match from internet but it was a horrible experience, since I could not see the continues match evenwith high speed internet connection. It is waste of money to subscribe with these internet telecast coz they dont have enough capacity to telecast the match thru internet.

That's a good point. I need to look in my area to see if alternatives are there. Else I have to shell out 200 bucks for this.

Its pretty much exciting to watch it in great clarity on Dish than watch it in low quality on internet. and people rip off dish's telecast and stream it on the net!
I have been watching Indian cricket on the internet recently, but for this world cup, i am shelling out 200 bucks! i am going for quality!

Keep checking the message boards.you would find cheaper options.Dish TV should reduce the price to meet the competition.200$ is outrageous if we are not keen on watching all t he matches
Why pay even a dime !! I have been watching all the cricket action absolutely free and live, using broadband internet. There are a number of underground websites which stream them. I am going to watch it on my 55 inch Sony TV by hooking up my laptop to the TV via S-Video.

Sorry, the end-users ARE also responsible for subscribing to ILLEGAL services !
Similar to buying and selling pirated software ... both parties are held responsible.
