It is really wonderful that Dish TV is telecasting cricket in US. When Kelly claims that the company invested $50K and only 66 customers bought the package. I want to take the package to view the cricket, however, the package is too expensive ($199.00). If the package costs $99.00 I would say atleast 70% of cricket lovers would be interested in taking the package.

they are putting too big money into it.. when the customers are not as big as it is in major cricket playing nations, the prices will be high to get back the investment price. its economics. so the more following cricket accquires in the US, the sooner prices will come down. and we have to pray that it happens soon! until then, we got to live with it!

The economics is not that simple. If now with $200 package they are able to sell to lets say 10 customers. with $100 a package they will surely able to sell to 25 people. In total they will be in profit only. I am sure they would have done proper research before deciding the price of it.

I stay out of India for a year and half. While we miss India every second, there are few things to feel happy too........%u201DWE ARE OUT OF CRICKET & CINEMA%u201D. Hardly we think of these two which was our breath when we were in India taking (wasting) most of our time. Now they are trying to tap people in abroad too%u2026.beware!! if u wasted your time on it, dont come back to it.. but dont advice others on wastage of time. we manage our time pretty well. here, cinema and cricket are entertainment. everyone needs entertainment in an otherwise monotonous life. if u have other things to do, go and do it!
waste of time more monopoly. US marketing - analyzes indian population interest in watching cricket - they are going to make it much tougher by hiking prices on these services. money!money!money! then what - stuff in their pockets and mouths and finally digest it and get more instead of watching cricket help the needy and give those needy a lifeline

Bhai log, paisa ikattha karo...Dish ya Direct jo bhi achcha lage le lo. Internet ko TV mein laga ke maine dekha...kabhi Madhuri Dixit ko stained glass mein dekha, maine bhi nahin dekha - na dekhna chahta hoon. Consultant logo (Bharrey ke tattoo-o) mere jaisa - dono taraf se mare jaoge. Ek paisa dena parega dekhne ke liye, upar se kaam mein nahin gaya toh khud ka kamai aur dalaal (Consulting company) bhai log mein murcha jayega. Kya karen! jeevan hi aisa hain - sirf weekend ka maja le lo, aur India semis tak gaya toh ayk deen ka rojgar bandh banta hain - overtime kar lena.
I have paid to DirectTV last September the same amount that is advertised here. And they had given me champions trophy free for that rate. Way to go DirecTV.
