Following points will make India Champions 1. Just Follow how Aussies Infrastrucure Eg. Selection process , Domestic schedule , Academies , Training etc. 2. Select Tall Fast bowlers who can extract bounce . 3. Minimum 1 fast bowler who can bowl 90 MPH 4. One Spinner who cannot be read which way he is turning the ball( bowl like Murli or Hogg) . 5. Ranji Trophy should be restructured. allow only 6-7 teams to compete(like Aus and SA). coz teams like saurahtra , gujrat , himachal ,haryana , UP ,MP, jammu should be removed and allowed to play lower level . 6. National team players should play atleast 50% of domestic cricket to qualify. with good player domestic competition will improve and indian players will also get chance to prove that they r better than domestic crickers. 6. Use Kukooborra balls instead of SG balls 7. put some life , bounce in dead indian pithces and home matches also . 8. Foreign coach is a must .Domestic coaches will be afraid to drop big names like sachin ,ganguly etc. 9. Make Coach role bigger than captain .. Coach should be incharge and should be ableto drop captain if he doesnt perform. Eg Vaughan was horrible still was not dropped ..that was reason England lost Semi Fianl spot.
If these steps r followed .. INdia can make it i guess ..atleast give fight to Australia

Yes, rediff has to think about it, it's sad still they are copying the news paper article like an ordinary portal
Not every team can be an Australia. Our team jus had a bad world cup because of the pre-world cup experiments they had. Had they not done all that non-sense they would have performed better. Let%u2019s hope they learn from this. But it was an awesome performance by the Australians and also by the Lankans. The Lankans just couldn%u2019t match the standard of game played by the Australians. Regarding the endorsements by our players, even before the previous world-cup our boys did advertisements. Sachin was named player of the tournament inspite of all his endorsements. They don%u2019t matter as long as the team performs. Then why when they are going through a bad time?

My dear sir, this article is on Gilchrist and Australia's performance! Why do you have to bring Tendulkar into your comments. Are you so bankrupt of thoughts that you cannot get Tendulkar or the Indian cricket out of your mind at least for a short while when not relevant in any way???
Well could anyone of you who knows cricket rules well can let me know if having a squash ball inside the glove is legal. If not, the i believe its equivalent to taking drugs. Gilchrist had an unfair advantage which is not in line with the cricketing rules.
There is nothing wrong in having something with in Gloves. As long as he is not getting that in contact to the ball.
Had he had anything on his bat that would have helped him... then it would have been illegal. For something within gloves, which is used only for one's comfort, there is nothing wrong in it
Cricket probably WAS a game of uncertainities. If you had watched all the games that australia played, you may have noticed that each of their games against the opponents were different. They never depended on the opponents weak points or luck. Every game was played to perfection. Congrats to the Champs... you deserve the cup. Congrats to Gillie... It was your day mate! Must also congratulate the lankans... i guess nature was a bit hard on them... you deserved to be in final anyway...congrats..
Indian Cricket payers should learn something.

Gilchrist is back. He was totally out of form, but when they entered WC finals and needed a good score he played very nice inning against SL. Indian players r stronger against Bermuda, but when the team is in trouble our world class, best players lose their wicktes and go to advt.to earn money/glamour.Assies r true, professional sportsman,Indian fans and players should think over it.It's fact that even we've best players, superstars like Master blaster,Maharaja(Bengal Tiger),Wall of India,Viru,Yuvi,Mahi,Bhajji we couldn't win a single WC after 1983,this time we couldn't enter super eight where BD,Ireland reached. Indian fans(fools) think over.
By the looks of things currently even the extra's of australia team r capable enough to win the WC on their own... a talented player like Hodge had to sit out even after scoring so well in previous matches.. one needs to wonder when india will produce such players... rather than players who stay in the side on the basis of 35 centuries which they scored before 6-7 years... wat an irony
some ppl r so slack tht they cant even withstand a little humor abut team india and its disaterous players... shame on u for reporting abuse when in reality u r the biggest abuse on rediff
