Can you imagine an Indian player retiring after winning the man of the tournament on the biggest stage the world cup. My God...yeah he wold have become god and will select himself for the rest of his miserable lives in the team sheet. Only death could have stopped him. So much greed and power are we indians after. We need money and power to kill and sqash the rest of our country men and enjoy that sick feeling. Ask Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid, Yuvraj Singh or whoever. But McGrath...he is true champion. So Unselfish and knows that a upcoming bowler like Tait and stuart clarke need their due before they get too old. No wonder they win the world cup unlke the greedy indians.

so ask mcgrath the unselfish to do some charity wrk like mother theresa and ramakrishna mission why you are going to the other extreme to praise him fast bowling is not childs play . and aussie selectors are no santa clauz so dont turn a necessity into virtue. mcgrath has to perform day in n out and he chose to go out at the hight mcgrath have a nice life .. enjoy your days
with their talent they told the world kiss our ass . that is it. india ,pakisthan all failed so depressly. sreelanka was in match and fighting but not a winning fight, it was like trying to do as much as they can. what we got for next world cup--hahahah one big answer we can make sarath power going to play..stupid politicisn lead our country . that is the difference . a sports minister should have some basic qualifications and qualities
Everyone agrees that Australia put up a great show right through the tournament. Congratualations. But another thing to ponder: There is already a Womens Cricket world cup. So shouldn't it be a disqualification to have a women in any side. The Austalians had a girl in their playing 11 in Natha-lie Bracken... What are everyones thoughts on this??
I think apart from the talent, the mental ability to handle tough situations and self belief are very much important. Our players must increase their concentration power on cricket. Why can't they try meditation?

Meidtation does not help anyone. For Indians it is somehow panacea. DO Australian and bangladesh and irish players meditate? DO the achievers in other fields meditate? DO you meditate? Have you overachieved in life out of meditation ?
Hats off 2 the Ozzies for their 4th WC & 3rd in a row.all the talk abt their fallibility before the tournament proved to be just that. mere talk. forcing those who said it to eat their words. Gilly's cyclonic innings was a once in a lifetime knock. record 1st wicket partnership with Haydos who scored a mere 38 out of the 172 put together. such was Gilly's dominance. it was the fastest ton in a WC final beating Lloyd's 82 ball century in '75. not a single batsman from either side could bat with the fluency shown by him after his dismissal after scoring 149.the Lankans seemed to be in with a chance till Jayasuriya & Sangakkara were in.once they were out it was all over bar the shouting.
this must rank as the most dominating Wc campaign ever. no Aussie tailender was required to bat thru out the entire tournament.their top order did the job admirably, competently & consistently.
And also time to bid adieu to the master craftsman Glenn McGrath, who along with Ponting, is the only player to have appeared in 4 finals consecutively. 1996,99, 2003 & 2007. G'bye Glenn. thanx for the memories.
Keep the World Cup yourself in the future also. If any team feels they need the cup let them come to your land play and win and take the cup. This will lead to lots of money & time saving

I don't know how much money was spent in World Cup. But in 2011 Cricket Worldcup, we shud give the cup directly to Australia and call off the world cup and spend that money for something else.
Because the way the aussies are playing as a team, I think no body can beat them.
I bet the Indian team would have watched them last night and must have been very embarassed. Our players aer called Demi-Gods. But aussies look like the real Gods of the game.
