I completely agree with you, the media should rather focus on other burning issues like the reservations etc, and help in solving these issues positively, rather making sachin, abhishek and others more prominent than they actually are..

There are a number of Sachin in the line, let them give a chance. But the players like Sachin neither performing nor retiring. How they could get chance. What constructive has he done to the nation except hype. He is only playing for himself (not for the country) and making money for himself only. What is the use of his records for the nation. Constructive means contribution in the development of nation - like what ISRO is doing. Is is clear you, dude.
One should know when to retire. But because of ad commitments, sachin cannot retire for atleast 2 years. We have to see his records against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Kenya, UAE, Ireland. Since he is not at his peak he cannot retire either.
