I fail to understand why we Indians are upset at India not making it to the World Cup. Please remember the following facts.
1) India has never reached the top 4 rankings in the past 10 years.
2) Please remember, we won the 1983 world Cup by luck. If it was sheer talent we would not be black washed in all the one days and test matches immediately after the world cup at home.
Mohinder Amarnath the hero of the World Cup had scores of 0 0 1 0 at the test series. The West indies would finish the test matches in less than 3 days and bowl us out in one days in less than 40 overs.

Hi Sanjay, People don't understand this facts. They beleive that our INDIAN team is world beater which totally wrong. As you said we have never been in top 4 in ODI ranking in the past 10 years clearly shows our players INABILITY to perform at INTERNATIONAL level agianst BEST TEAMS. No doubt we can easily hammer minnows which we saw recently against BERMUDA!
BUT I doubt if we can do BERMUDA Carnage against team like AUS, SA??
Dhoni, Dravid or Yuvraj's ranking is no longer an issue of concern to India. When the team does'nt perform where these rankings have any value? When we are losing to countries like Bangladesh and closely finish with Zimbabwe, as a nation of cricket crazy millions where these Rankings counts for. These are a bunch of chokers who only know to choke when it matters most. Indian cricket is on the path of hockey and very soon be compared with countries like Bermuda, Ireland and Holland.

You're right Mr. Nair, INDIAN cricket Legends are LEGENDS in DISGUISE. They are REAL CHOKERS when it matters MOST. India has never produced QUALITY Cricket CONSISTANTLY. We all can go back to our cricketing HISTORY.

Before starting of world cup, India played 2 series at home in which Dhoni made lot of runs.Based on that he mamaged to be in top 10(I guess so). Wat do u think??
