SMG takes out against Chappell without addressing the fundamental issues. Why SMG is refusing to address sponsor-agent related issues? Why is SMG refusing to address special clauses in contracts of certain players that rewards them if they stay longer at the crease, why is SMG failing to address about a certain player playing too slow in the world cup after repeated instructions were spent out. Yeah right Blame it on GC.
Mr. SMG...you got to have right set of players for a captain or coach to maximize the performances of the team. Our team was made up of Unfit players, selfish players and players playing for the sake of money etc. This is what our WC team was. I know if you talk about all these things, you will become unpopular. So blame it on the coach. Poor you SMG.
In your playing days, we all know how selfish you were. Who will forget the way you promoted and brought in all Mumbai players that includes Suru Nayak and Gulam Parkar. Shastri was never a bowler and he got selected to NZ as a bowler over injured Dilip Doshi. Let us not forget your 36 not out. What a way Venkat was removed and you become the captain. If you had any heart, you should have said no and let Venkat continue as a captain. Your contribution to Indian Cricket during your post retirement is almost Nil.
To SOME EXTENT SMG - you destroyed Indian Cricket. You have no right to talk about someone else doing it. I can understand if GRV talks about someone else destroying Indian Cricket....NOT YOU.

In the Trethayug, there was the Kumbhakarna, who was sleeping for 6 months and awake for 6 months (within a single calendar year).
In the present Kaliyug, there is this Kumbhakarna, who was sleeping right-from-employment-of-coach-till-the-time-of-relieving-of-coach.
Yes Tony - ur absolutely right. Instead of words speaking, let Sunny demonstrate his abilities in proving as a coach.

A slight correction. Kumbhakarna slept for 6 months, awoke for a day or two for eating and slept again for another six months and so on.

Yaaa! SMG was sleeping all these days of heavy dose from Ponting & team. Gavaskar has already lost his face in Australian cricket. In any case it is clear that gavaskar woke up only b'coz Teldulkar himiliation.. any way he is another..kar in the same boat..

Gavaskar was certainly not sleeping. He was making money as a commentator, teaching Tendulkar how to bat like him ,and distancing himself from all responsibility in improvement of indian cricket. He is such a willy crook in a gentleman's suite.
Any amount of blaming Greg Chappel wouldn't shift the blame from our stars. One look at the dismissal of His Holiness Sachin Tendulkar Maharaj in the India-SriLanka match would make it clear that our players have lost focus. Coach can only goad them, cajole them, instill confidence, give them tips etc. but as long as the players' mind is elsewhere, nothing can be done.

hahahahaha..look who is back..aagaya hum sab log ka baap paul ron..hahahaha
Blaming trhe coach for all things and failure is too simple. Everybody knows there are eveal ills plaguing the Indian cricket. Gavaskar's criticizm appears more personal. He has not not given his reasons.
In any even having appointed him as coach, blaming him personally is not a sign of maturity or decency. Having appoited him, we should take responsiblity for that as well (even if things were wrong). He has had the courage to own it up and leave.
Since know-it-all-racist SMG was instrumental in selecting Chappell ahead of Amarnath and Haynes, should he not be held partially accountable for picking a dud - especially when he himself calls his pick a dud???!!!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/1148434.stmTwen ty years to the day since telling his brother to bowl underarm in a one-day international, former Australian captain Greg Chappell has admitted the day remains one of his biggest regrets.
Chappell's order to brother Trevor came for the final delivery of a limited overs game on February 1, 1981, and prevented Kiwi tailender Brian McKechnie hitting the six runs required for a tie in the first match of the final series

It could be that it's a shame, but I watched the final few balls of that game on youtube, and it didn't look apparent that Iam Smith was capable of even hitting that six. They had barely managed to score 2 runs of each ball earlier that over, not even a boundary had come forth or was likely to in the remaining one ball. Too much exaggeration over the "darkest day for International cricket", I must say.
Its so strange that people still blame the coach for the world cup debacle, where our so called hyped non performing players should be blamed .Mr Gavaskar has not done any thing for indian cricket ,if he was so worried he should have been coach by now.He is one of those selfish and biased cricketer who has done no good for indian cricket.

guys, i repeat it again, Both Greg and Sunny were/r trouble mongers..For instance, i always believe that a coach is as good as his players..
How can we hold Greg responsible for the shameful way in which sachin got out trying to defend a full pitched delivery from Fernando??
Sunny has not blamed our batters, especially Dhoni and sachin who gifted the wickets away in both the games..

Gavaskar was ,is and will be selfish in his deeds and thoughts. He should never advise sachin how to bat and cut shots that are risky. What is his contribution? Telling Tendulkar how to stay not out?I am sure Sir Gary Sobers never mentioned to Brian Lara to be negative in his approach

He may have made mistakes but he is courageous enough to admit them. What about Sunil. Do you think your 'Master Batsman' of the yore was even willing to play to win when he batted entire innings and scored 10, 20 runs.
Gavaskar has no capacity to blame anyone. He was and is a moron and only moron listen to him.
indian criket play always luck game not professional game like aussi & SA they want only money like :apna sapna money money we should kick all players make a new team
