Sunil Gavaskar is getting senile. I Wonder what Sunil has done for Indian Cricket after his retirement, other than commenting and criticizing others? Has he ever taken a responsible and active role as a coach/mentor/selector? He is greatly jealous of Greg Chappel - As a player Greg Chappel was way ahead of him. As a coach Greg Chappelis way ahead of anyone else in game. I guess a few years from now, when Australia produces next set of world champs, this will be vindicated. Meanwhile people like Gavaskar will continue to flourish by doing nothing for India and Indian Cricket

yea, gavaskar's jealous of the all conquering Aussie team which wins matches with amazing consistency. evident from his nauseatingly puerile remarks against poor David Hookes , who's no more to defend himself. and also from his laughable quote that Aussies will lose to Ireland if Chappell takes over their Academy. the gap between Aussies & other teams is a yawning one.the Board has started the dramaabaji of satisfying the indian fans by 'resting' the seniors for the Bangladesh series banking on the public memory being short. soon all the 'rested' seniors will be back & things will remain the same. there should be a campaign to remove these players permanently, infuse fresh blood & hand over the Board to capable ex-cricketers.
Do you know the latest trend in our cricketers? 1)Somehow get noticed and entered in the national selectors list, 2)initially play some good cricket to end probation period, 3)Become the hero of media and young girls, 4)Slowly sneak into advertising field signing hefty contract sum, As a brand AMMBASADOR tour the country and the world.Cricket ;side by side!! 5)Celebrate marriage with great pomp and show,Cricket:side by side. 6)Attend social gathering, exibitions functions, interviewsfelicitations and what not.Cricket side by side. Finally become a famous person, brand ammbasador, fashion icon, chocklate hero, and if time permits, play some cricket that too as an obligation! 8)pay very little attention towards physical health.Start putting on weight by lavish life style and lazy happy go lucky attitude 9)Concentrate on wealth building by becoming an enterpreneur or a hotelier 10)Do EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD BUT CRICKET.
And from such players how can we POOR INDIANS expect that they will win FIRST ROUND OF WORLD CUP!!!!!!!

Mumbai hve always given birth to tigers and kolkatta as well not liquiors like banglore dravid
Gavaskar you are the most selfish, moneycentric cricketer india has produced who played only for his own records and played all sorts of dirty politics till now you backed tendulkar all way thru even when he wanst performing did you ever dared to back anyother indian player, even always flaws in techniques with all the other batsman who came close to challenging tendulkar. MY fellow countrymen this guy is blaming chappell definately he got something else in mind either he want one of his collegue or an stooge to get national cricket academy role what ever he says got some political meaning in it the coming days will reveal. he is an virus tht infected indian cricket.
Another shame is VENGSARKAR isnt he ashamed when he said he wasnt happy with the BOmbay cricket associaton not backing tendulkar if he is so worried for tendulkar then why dont he resign from his post of national selector and take up the job of backing tendulkar.

Indian Cricket = divided house. let them debate and find their way out.
Relax Folks!! Gavaskar is suffering from "Foot in Mouth" Disease. He had his first attack of the disease very recently when he commented about as Australian player dieing because of his rude behaviour with the public. This is the second attack and he will have many more such attacks. This typically afflicts all the old and discarded, or old and highly played placed individuals in the society. Any guess about another patient who suffered from a similar diseases in the recent past and commented about our National Anthem?
Mr.Gavaskar.. First understand the role of coach.. He is not getting in to the field for batting, bowling or fielding. He can pull the horses to the water pond, but he can not make them to drink water. Our dirty players does not know about that. A match winner should be able to play @ any position. If not it is meaningless to call him as GOD of Indian Cricket. About 10dulkar & chappel issue, chappell tried to get sachin prepared mentally for batting in the middle order (he thought that if we tell that you are useless in the middle order, he will get angry and perform), but what happened is we all know.. Our GOD is still not interested to play in the middle order. Mr.Gavaskar very kind of you.. Accept the challange of coaching the selfish players and try to get in to the second round atleast in the 2011 world cup.

I dont understand why Tendulkar preferred opening? The move to open with him was made when he could hit the ball over the top.Later his inability to bat fast was masked by Sehwag .And when Sehwag lost his form,he could not step up his gear.Greg made the right decision in not opening with him.Quality opening bowlers like Mcgrath would have exposed him anyways.SG is just tying to find an excuse; as though it was Chappell who was batting out in the middle. None of the batsmen batted well.Thank God finally, the inadequancies of Indian batting has been exposed. It is time our team owned up and stop blaming a coach who knew the truth even before the World cup made it obvious to us and who tried to do his best with a few sluggish, mentally thick, rags to riches idiots.

Great one! One Mr.Muthumani trying to make Mr.Gavaskar the role of coach!!!! How much cricket have you played sir? I think Mr.Gavaskar played a bit more cricket than you.
Well, if the coach shouldn't take flak for the team's loss then why was he hopping all the credits when the team was doing well?
