What, We are here for only blame others?
by Ramakrishna Panicker on Apr 23, 2007 01:01 PM  Permalink

How we Indians blindly thought that foreiners will keep us close to their heart? For many centuries they were here to carry away our Nations wealth. Why they should be entertained with our meriment?

You are very late Mr. Sunil Gawaskar, yes very very late.

really. Then why the heck did Pathan goes and taks to Andy Roberts instead of genuine swing bowlers for tips? All Chappell wanted to do was instill the belief that players shud be flexible. That is it.

I love Sunny
by mohan on Apr 23, 2007 12:43 PM  Permalink

I love Sunny for making this statements correctly and atleast at this time, otherwise our wise BCCI would have appointed the Mr Cheppel as consultant for NCA.
He is dare to speak out atleast now, BCCI has controlled all the players and managements guys to speak out to the media, which approve what ever these guys do, this is one of the reason for the downfall of India cricket.
But still, few words and names were missing in his statement - which was the guys stood behind Mr Cheppel who were More, Less(Dravid), Shah and others, they were also partly responsible for the down fall of Indian cricket and now it will take atleast few years to get back to original condition(before Cheppel took over) or even may follow like West Indies, still struggling to get back even after 10-15 years.
SUNNY IS GREAT - FRANK - SMART - TRUE INDIAN

Look what he did!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it. this guy took 175 million dollars from India and did what?---

---removed most successful skipper
--- not only that, got our ppl to believe that he was agst the team
--- not only that got him out of the team!!!
--- got someone to lead who was a sure flop in that role
--- removed key players
--- damaged confidence of other key players whom he could not remove
--- never let any batting order stabilise
--- killed the lethal talent in ace swinger and true match winner -- irfan pathan
--- he got everyone to believe it was a process

Now, look back-- last world cup--

--- Saurav takes India to world cup finals
--- Saurav wins test in australia and beats them one one day final as well
--- saurav leads india to win in pak agast pak
--- it was sure this combination was lethal enough with saurav at front to win 2007 cup, coz they were only 2nd best and improving everyday

man called chappell comes in and destroys it all, convinces our ppl that it was a process.

yes, it was a process--

---to de-stabilise india to a extent that do not stand any chance to win 2007

-- crippled whole team and ensured he saw saurav out

--- so that asutralia could win their 3rd successive cup

he was a true patriot, what were our ppl doing, paying him 175 million $ to do this. Let him do whatever he wanted.

Biggest irony, even offer him the future, to demolish that as well.

Ironic, isnt it... he got india to pay for a job what australia should have paid him for.

He knew, he couldnt have done it without saurav out of the team. So even as he left he has convinced our ppl that saurav must remain out, and our inferior minded a''es listen to him even today

So when it came to grroming the future, he has preferred to grrom australian future!! does it need to speak more, everyone know which board can pay him better!!!!!!!!!!!!!

irony isnt it!!!!!!!!!!!

Great JOB CHAPPELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yoiu were atleast a patriot

Completely true and logical.Must read by all cricket lover of India who has a brain and understand a littlebit about cricket and played cricket.Actualy BCCI spoiled India in 2005 to appoint him If Ganguly would be the captain and Woolmer, Whatmore, Amarnath would be the coach then we had not to see that faliure.Under Ganguly we were progressing. If anyone is a true patriot and understand cricket belief it by heart that Chappel,Dravid,BCCI spoiled team India which was build by Ganguly and Wright. It is not a matter of a Bengali or a Marathi or a Karnataki be an Indian.

yes, that was his price... ref TOI coverage about his appointment then, you can do that by going to TOI site, plus his complete stay in India was at The Taj West end, Bangalore, costliest property

from what I know he was getting around 4Lakh dollars per annum and even if stayed all days at Taj West End I am not sure it comes to upto 175 million dollars. Come on 175 million dollars is a lot of money. And btw if a coach costed the board 175 million dollars what about players it should also be so as much as 175 million dollars. And despite being paid so much they go and lose in first round. Also he has accepted responsibility for the defeat and quit before being kicked out, what do our seniors players do ? they blame Chappell for the entire loss. Why can't they accept that they didnt play well

whatever it is, chappell did take lot of money and he delivered nothing for all that amount. more than that, he has screwed up indian cricket like never before. destroyed the confidence of our icons. i blame bcci equally for all this who are treated players like machines. will bcci take accountability for organizing too much cricket destroying the fitness of players, all for minting money???
gavaskar was right in blaming bcci for showin inferiority complex and sucking to chappell in order to diver teh public's blame from itself.

Sunny Blames Chappel

Its like "Grapes are Sour"
Since BCCI has never looked at Mr. Sunil Gawaskar for the post of coach, he has now started blaming people. Who is Sunny to blame Chappel. Its upto the players to perform on the field and not the coach and someone please remind Mr.Gawaskar that he was one of the selection commiittee member who have selected Greg Chappel as a coach.
So some one please tell Mr. Gawaskar to please keep his mouth shut. Already he has got one in commenting against Ricky Ponting.

don't be so supportive of chappell. after all he didn't even deliver 10% of what he had promised. don't divert all your anger on indian team's bad performance to the indian players and indian cricket fraternity. remember these are the same players who have given you so much entertainment all your life. one bad outing should not negate all that they have done before.

Dont be stupid Vishal, by saying this you wanted to bring in Chappel again in to Indian cricket - like digging our own grave yard.

Somebody finally had the guts
by seedhasaadhaladka on Apr 23, 2007 12:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

to speak the truth as it is:

1. Chappell's outbursts at end of world cup was to save himelf from criticism for wc failure.
2. he diverted issues from his failure to made-up issues like senior-junior clash.
3. same thing happened in 2005 when he did not want a strong captain like ganguly to work with and he made up things regarding his bad form.

first proof of chappell's lies came with ganguly proving himself in tests and onedayers after his comeback. 2nd proof will come later this year when sachin proves himself to be a guiding factor to all the team members(senior and junior) during india's test and oneday wins.
