Its very easy to blame someone when things go wrong. Now its Gavaskar's turn to throw trash at Chappell, which does no good but for some stupid publicity to both concerned.
The constructive value of this column is drop-dead zero. And to mention Ireland could beat Australia if Chappell coaches the latter is totally uncalled for and it stinks.
No one can deny the fact that WC failure is a collective responsibility of the coach, captain, players and the board.
Sharad Pawar and the dirty politics of Greg Chappell has completely ruined Indian cricket. Ever since Greg Chappell started the tension over Sourav Ganguly, Indian cricket has suffered. Removal of Sourav Ganguly from the captaincy and the team was a massive mistake. It was Sourav who had taken Indian cricket to great heights. Personal politics of these 2 wicked men has doomed Indian cricket. Both Greg Chappell and Sharad Pawar should be stoned to death on the crossroad. To make matters worse, Chappell was offered a position in NCA. Fie on BCCI. Indian public should make BCCI stand on the dock and admit its wrong doings. Mrs.Bhaswati Sarkar

Hello, In a democracy, we do not stone people to death. How is it in Calcutta? We also dont like the same leader to be around for ever unlike Jothi Basu and his gang who destroyed your state.
1. Tension over Ganguly was created by Ganguly himself. Stop blaming others. It is Ganguly who played politics and wanted to retain his place at any cost 2. Ganguly failed as a captain and as a batsman during the last 12 to 18 months of his captaincy. 3. What great height did Saurav take? Winning a match here or there is not enough. We reached the greatest height in 1983. Saurav only reached half of what the team accomplished durng 83 and 85. Dont over blow SG's accomplishments. 4. Everything good thing has to come to an end. SG cannot continue for ever. Time to grow up and move on.

ganguly appeared in the Pepsi ad begging for a place in the team.remember his 'kya pataa , mujhe shirt ghumaane ka ek aur mauka mila jaaye shaayad.pathetic. but greedy & ready to stoop to any extent for the love of lucre. and as regards politics madam, how can we indians forget the sickening drama played by MP's & the WB politicians raising the issue in Parliament for his inclusion ( as if there was no other pressing issue of national importance to be discussed )the nexus between the consumer goods companied,ad industry, Board and cricketers have brought indian cricket down to the dismal levels of hockey. the sooner this is broken , the better for cricket in india which can do without the likes of him in future.

Hi Ray, am I ask your Identity? Who are you? ?Have played even street level cricket?
The Players like Sachin , Dhoni , Sehwag are responsible for the sorry state of Affairs.During and before the Cup they were seen on Ramps , Touring WI Villages and doing all sorts of PR work to earn somenthig for them rather than practising anf staying focussed.
Our Board still keeps these players for the next series and even a Kid can predict the out come of Bangladesh Tour. Then they will find another excuse but not look at the real cause - non seiousness of Players.
I am surprised that it took about one month for Gavaskar to find that Chappel was responsible for the downfall of Indian Cricket. Obviouly, he found that the flutter on his comments on Australian cricketers having died down, what better subject to remain in the news than Chappel bashing.

Just got the news that more and more Australians r turning impotent so Australian women using Kangaroos for satisfying their lust now u may know the fact that who is a real father of Paolo Ron, he is a cross bread of Kangaroo and human. Thats why he is jumping here and there in this Indian forum.
There is no point to come with all those remarks, as the Indian players performance on the field was up to them and not the coach. The players failed, especially the pace bowlers. The selectors should be blamed for picking up the squad, and the captain from not making quick changes with his bowlers, when these bowlers were bowling erratically and giving extras. An examination of the wides, no balls, leg byes, compared to other countries, speaks for itself. BTW why did Gavaskar wait until today to write his column? It appears he did not have anything else to do, or is he canvassing for a coach's position?

Perhaps he was waiting for the team slection for Bangladesh tour. His favourite person Ten-duck-kar is not in the one day squad. So that's why he is crying his lungs out.

Gavaskar is absolutely right. Finally, someone speaks the truth. Ramesh Kapoor has bough into Chappel's spin about worldcup debacle, where everyone else but him is to be blamed. He said, Idnian players are not good enough. He has said, Indian cricket is managed like Zimbabwe. He also said, he feared for his life from indian crowd, after indian;s loss to bangis. So, which part of the above, Mr. Kapoor that u dont understand? He showed some obscene gesture at indiann crowds. Perhaps u dont understand that. Would u like to blame the selectors and palyers for it? Get a life and ge a dose of reality.
