I am surprised to read gavaskar's comments,this is the same guy who played 55 overs and just scored 36 runs and was not out.He was a selfish cricketer,now he wants to enjoy power without responsibility.Indian cricket would be much better without the likes of Gavaskar
You have no right to criticize. The only person who can criticize Greg is the one who has fared better. You were a failure as coach, never took the responsibilities of coaching and were a big flop with the national academy and the pitch committee. And your words speak of jealousy . Change of Indian attitude is a must for us to grow as people and country. Change Mr. Gavaskar

Andrew lets be fair. Its not about white but about commitment. For Sehwag he was up at 0600 hrs to coach and practice. brownieesss will rule soon.
i think mr sunil gavaskar is rite...mr greg chappel is the only person who is responsible for indiaz defeat infact defeats in the world cup. the way he experimented with the batsmen and bowlers was just too much...there are other reasons also but i feel that he should have been removed before the worldcup after we lost 2 series in a row.

The truth is ....we are not good.The wins before our Test series tour to windies were because of pathan,dhoni and yuvaraj in sublime form.Then all of a sudden,yuvaraj got injured,pathans bowling deteriorated even further than normal though his batting was good and dhoni's batting flaws were exposed. Thats that.The other players like sehwag,sachin were anyway not doing much.So we were losing since then.Just dont put the blame on Chappell alone though I agree he experimented too much .May he wanted to know his player's ability to adapt and also his bench strength b4 the world cup. I am sure he was dissapointed to find the true ability of our players b4 the World cup.And I am sure thats the reason why he played Ganguly.Mind you ,Ganguly didnt perform well in South africa.He was average and all others were pathetic ,so his performance was only relatively good and that was all we ,the media and his backers needed to get him back to the team.Had our other batsmen put up a performance like the one we put up in australia,he wouldnt have got such a support after the series.He was great but now he should bow out gracefully.
it is very easy to critisize.Yeah, chapell may have been bad,but why doesnt gavaskar become the coach & take the indian cricket out from the abyss for which he holds greg chapell responsible.It is easier said than done.
is chapell responsible for rohan gavaskar not playing well too? easier to blame somone or the other.in rohan gavaskars case whom shall he blame?

No body could do a bad job as Greg did. Even I might do better coaching than Greg .. of course I'll pick your brother Suresh Raina ..otherwise you will write mesg agaianst me .... :-)
Guys, we have go independance 60 yrs ago but we still are enamoured by the white skin. Get up do something for the country instead of supporting a white who came into Indian cricket to destroy it. Dont be traitor like that amn on Lagaan who got the boot from that white English dictator. Sunil Gavaskar is 200% right.

The truth is that being a great batsman does make you a good coach or an excellent administrator.Gavaskar was for getting Chappell to coach India initially.Chappell had a poor record as a coach even before he was selected to coach India.I dont think Gavaskar should not make comments which would amount to shoting his own foot.
