I remember one of the world cup match our great Gavaskar opened the inning and after 60 overs he remained not out with his score not reaching even a half century ... He never played for the country but for his individual records.. I would rate Bombay Sandeep Patil, Dilip Vengsarkar thousand time better then our great Gavaskar

So support to Ganguly from any quarter is welcome? Even from as selfish a person as Gavaskar who bats only for records and his son Rohan? There is no limit to shamelessness?

yaar idli vada sambar agar tujhe badhboo lagta hain toh tum north indian log phir south indian restaurants jaate kyun ho?. hum logon bhi tumhare gaay bailon bhi baas nahin chahiye bhai. tum log jaise parathe khake mote nahin hote hum log. stop this stupid regionalism and grow up...learn to be an indian first before being a north indian. sorry tujhe angrezi nahin aati toh main tere liye translate kar sakta hoon
Chappell's mistake was that he tried to play the Indian cricketers like the Aussie's, But the BBCI should not forget about our own way of playing cricket, this is where the BCCI went wronge, where was Gavaskar all this time, he should had given this statements long before ever since chappell was appointed as the coach of the Indian cricket team. If not mistaken Gavaskar was one of the 4 members to be consulted on before hiring Chappell. Its really a sad story for Indian Cricket

I u really have guts then give ur address and see what marathi manoos will do 2 u.
It seems Gavaskar has been hit where it hurts him most %u2013 his protégé Sachin has been axed.
He would always make light of Sachin%u2019s dismissal or his poor form, and find some excuse to explain it. But now he has had to shed his boring diplomatic façade to cry foul.
It is not to say that whatever that rogue Chappell did was right. In fact Chappell%u2019s shenanigans from day one spelt nothing but disaster for Indian cricket.
Never mind whatever was happening with Indian cricket, Gavaskar chose to keep quiet all these days because his protégé was not affected.
Gavaskar was also well aware that some senile scamps in the BCCI (with whom he is chummy with) blindly supported Chappell.
But now it is a different story. Sachin has been excluded, and rightly so. The Mumbai man is unable to digest that, and he has started bewailing.
Anyway, BCCI is being run by incompetent people like Pawar who have to depend on crooks and fools around him to run the show; and when there is a coterie of crooks and fools there can be only one thing %u2013 chaos and downfall.
India%u2019s bane has always been the self-seeking agenda driven mean minded unpatriotic people. In Chappell%u2019s case, India repeated itself.
There is no one more qualified than Gavaskar to talk about Indian cricket. He was not only the pre-eminent batsman, he is always a great observer of Cricket. We must also remember it was during his time Indian cricket came up from nowhere, and became the best team in the world in 1983 and 1985 [We also played semis in 1987].
Greg Chappell took over a team which was doing well. Despite all the comments I see, we were dreaming of winning the world Cup then. We had the best batting line up in the world, we had Australia and Pakistan on the ropes. We were No. 2 team in the world.
He systematically destroyed it. When you are no. 2 in WC 2003, you plan to be no. 1 in 2007, not start dismantling everything and prepare for 2011. Greg Chappell started with a defeatist proposition, he saw all things wrong in Indian cricket. He experimented too much [just count how many people opened the innings in last 25 games], he demoralised players and he somehow started preaching that he knows best.
Gavaskar is absolutlely right - he needs to be sacked and sent home.

lazy bongs and their hashish clouded brains. haan ji sir we will have dada in the team for a thirty more years. even if he have to fill the team with ten more bongs. yes siree we shall have that done.
How many of us remember Shalya of Mahabharat ? He was out to destabilize Karna with his demotivating statements about him and engineered his kill. Cheppel did not kill one but all knights of Indian cricket - Saurav, Sachin, Dravid, Virendra and Irfan. He ensured Indian team demoralised to an extent that no fight left in them even to beat bangladesh.

Arindam, don't waste time with these guys - Gaurav Deol, Watkins, blank etc. are from one guy in the group posing as different person. I have many such guys on my list. I can send you their previous mails also. These guys deliberately write against communities to excite people and have fun. It's simple to understand these fools. Just ignore them. They'll fade away.
