RE:there we go again

We can beleive fellow indian if they are atleast above 5 feet, that rules our Sachin and Gavaskar.
I find it stupid for Gavaskar to even say that if Greg coaches the Australian team they will be at the bottom of the list.
Its because of the unprofessional attitude of the Indian players, we are at the bottom of the heap. Even Gavaskar is responsible for the past Indian performances. 1) He is the guy who was trying to get his son, Rohan, in the Indian cricket team 2) He is the guy who scored 36 in 60 overs in the 1975 world cup 3) He is the guy who kept an untalented Ravi Shastri in the indian team 4) He is the guy with a big fat ego and always wanted to belittle Kapil Dev 5) Its because of him, the good for nothing Agarkar is still there in the Indian team 6) In the 80's, the self declared little master had no answer to the great 4 west indian bowlers (andy roberts, joel garner, malcolm marshall, michael holding). Does he remember how the ball used to miss his bat all the time.
Mend your ways first and the Indian team will prosper.

Gavaskar is right about Chappel. Chappell was an arrogant person and he wanted to control the team in a dictatorial way. His methods did not yield anything possitive. Instead it spoilt the future of Indian cricket. He brought divisions in the team by going public and many people blindly support him. Even former Aus great Simpson has told that GC (not matter how great a player he was), was not a good captain, nor was he a good coach. And dont quote Gavaskar's test record here. That is not the subject of the discussion. FYI, Gavaskar scored 15 out of 34 centuries against WI including the 29th and 30th (which happened to be 236 n.o) If you dont have any knowledge, dont write something for the sake of writing.

Gavaskar can score centuries in test matches, no doubt you have to be talented, but he himself was not a good odi player. See Greg Chappel, Border and Ricky Pontings record. Even Sachin record is very good in matches of no importance to india in ODIs.

so you mean to say...all the matches which we won and reached finals are of no significance and only finals matter..... then why are we so angry when we have not won those inconsiquential matches in WC.....

Wasn't gavaskar one of the supporters of chappell when he was selected as coach?

very well said Jay, thanks for all the facts. Only a stupid person like K.Srikanth and some of their fans in this site will support Gavaskar.

jay did you watched him play in 80's
just for the records.... gavasakar has most of his runs against mighty WI's....even his highest score 236
I cannot say about the facts you put up, but going by simple logic it seems he has a BIG hold on Indian Cricket..and whatever he says would be followed.......so why his son Rohan was not given a chance ???? if he could give chance to Ravi, Agarkar .rohan could very easily been 15th player all the time....

rohan was given the chance and gavaskar was the guy who made good use of the quota system. he sent his son to play for bengal so that he can get selected in the indian team. he did play a couple of times and failed. thats the reason he is not there anymore.

ok then how come he could get ravi and agarkar in and his son not is my question to you??? if he is so manipulative and all those stuff
The entire team is responsible for the failure. The coach can only plan and motivate the team. We had seen how our players are played. They are irresponsible, they dont have the courage and they became panic under pressure. We need a new team with young blood..

yes he can't bat , bowl or field.
but he can iron out deficienies in players....everybody knowsa about short ball problem to Ganguly, sehwag,,,incoming ball to Sachin....I want to know, how much he corrected it
And motivation,,,,,,now we know how much motivated pathan , dhoni and harbhajan are,..

But our players make mistakes even in the basics! like running between wickets!! and even hits at stumps are never on target!
