Gavaskar is trying to save tendulkar by blaming others
by Sri Sri on Apr 23, 2007 04:39 AM  Permalink

these maharastrian crickets are so good blaming others while saving their state players... tendulkar (so called star player) or any other batsmen are the ones who should perform on the field and not coach. sad for india that we have such politicians in sports.. look at Lara and learn something mr tendulkar.... RETIRE RETIRE RETIRE RETIRE........

Gavaskar is right
by Arnab Nag on Apr 23, 2007 04:33 AM  Permalink

gavaskar is right...chappell has lead to this downfall. Chappell shouldn't have got into the Ganguly controversy...it disturbed the entire morale of the team.

Sources indicate that Gavaskar is slated to become next India coach after the Bangladesh series.

Gavaskar has insisted on having Ravi Shastri as batsman coach, and has asked BCCI to have Paras Mambrey as bowling coach.

Dravid is the weakest captain of India. He is the YES-man. He has no personality. In order to save his captaincy has to obey each & every order (wrong or right) of Mr. Chappel.

Finding a scapegoat for players' Incompetence.
by Muralidhar Rao on Apr 23, 2007 03:49 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Gavaskar was the one who wanted Greg Chappell as coach 2 years back. Even Steve Waugh had said at that time that Tom Moody was a better choice and that Greg was a bad coach even then in Australia. But then India chose Greg as recommended by Sunny and others and Moody went to Sri Lanka. Look where is Sri Lanka and where is India today. So Gavaskar should take responsibility for choosing Greg instead of Moody. He has no business to blame Greg now after waiting so long. Gavaskar is mad at Greg for putting Sachin in his place. Let us see how the next coach will be able to handle this most incompetent team in the world.

Greg Chappel not spoiled but ruined Indian cricket
by K Saiyed on Apr 23, 2007 03:35 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Greg Chappel was here not to improve indian cricket, but he was here to ruin. As Austrailians had fear that Indian team will definately beat them in 2007 so It was a game played and Chappel came to ruin Indian cricket by playing politics, sacking Ganguly. Hats off to Chappel because he was successful in his mission to spoil indian cricket. Our BCCI have so many stalwarts but failed to understand the logic of Greg Chappel. His mission was completed and he resigned.

I 100 % agree with Saiyed. His mission was not to fix India cricket, his mission was to destroy Ganguly and Indian cricket, because since the famous Laxman series of 2001, India was seen as a threat to Steve Waugh (Remember how Ganguly humiliated Steve Waugh by turning up late at the toss). This was a plan and it was executed professionaly. Our blind and stupid mandarins in the BCCI didnt see it coming and bowed to a foreigner. Its in the Indian gene. No wonder we were rules for more than 250 years. Saying Chappell wanted to fix Indian cricket is like saying East India Company just wanted to do business in India. Wake up India !!!

Well said, Sunny.
the only one who had opposed Chappell's employment 22 months ago .... now we can see why .... no one knows cricket better than Sunny.
at least not the BCCI officiandos .... :-)
Greg Chappell has really tore apart India's cricket, and nobody seems to care!
BCCI is just happing yes-men at key-posts, people they can easily manipulate .... poor Dravid ....

Jared and kumar....why cant someone point out the mistakes, without having to coach?Your logic is skewed, you are saying that to criticize Chappells/Dravids 3rd rate record, I have either to take up coaching or assume captaincy.Pls think before you type, its a request!
