Dude, Do yourself and all of us a big favor and shut the hell up!! All you can do is blame others rather than trying to suggest what can be done to improve India's performance in the coming matches. Blaming is all that ex-players are good at. Use your energy and rusted brains for betterment of the team!!
In 1975 World Cup against England, England rattled up 334 for four in 60 overs against India. And in reply Gavaskar made his infamous 36 not out in 60 overs. He played 174 balls hitting but a solitary boundary and India finished at a mocking 132 for two off 60 overs.
Gavaskar had differences with then Captian and this is the way he chose to make his point.
This shows how vindictive and mean he is, and Chappel not being his best of friend, now gets his attention.
And his son could'nt held his place in Mumbai or West Zone, and then he found a place in the Bengal Team. Now he is repaying 'Dada' for his help.

Everboady has a good day and a bad day in cricket. You should coment on gavaskar coment not on his performance. OK you tell me which decision of chappel was good. Sehwag:- Performed very well in westindies tour. Chappel told to sehwag for come in down order.
Ganguly:- He had not performaed well in past. But his perfomace was quite OK at that time of point( talking about 2005).
Irfan pathan:- I have no need to tell about irfan pathan. He was trying to make him a good allrounder now he is taking wicket round(0).
Zaheer Khan:- He did not allow him to join india team after Vengasker effort he wasable to join india cricket team.
Sachin Tendulkar: - Change the batting order did not work for tendulkar.
Rahul dravid :- Captaincy is an extra burden for him

If you don't like Gavaskar - that is fine.
But a lot of us have respect for his cricketing views. Indian team won the benson & hedges series in australia beating all other teams under his captaincy.

It is very interesting to note that the divided Indian team phenomenon wasn't present in World Cup 2003. It surfaced in 2005, when Chappell took over as coach. Was that because of our Indian players or for once would you like to consider the crimes committed by the GREAT CHAPPELL

The cricketers that you have mentioned in your message, are all stars. Picturise Indian team without them (including 2-3 more in the list), you will find, Indian team looks like a dead minnow. What ever status indian cricket has achive is mainly becos of these guys.
From Greg Chappell to Madam Gandhi, we seem to worship the white skinned race for little deeds. Chappel, played politics not only in the 20 months before the World Cup but also after it. He left after practicing his Divide and Rule policy for the one last time. The BCCI bosses fell for it.
Now Gavaskar, on of India's greatest test batsman, gives his opinion and what do we do? We lambast him for speaking out! If he feels that Chappel was the reason fr our miserable defeat, so why should anyone abuse him? And what right do people like Mr. Radhakrishnan have to abuse someone who has played all his life for India!
The board selected Chappell over Amarnath. Why, because Amarnath, like his father does not believe in mincing words. Just like the Maharaja of Vijayanagaram, the BCCI does not like people who do not toe their line.
Ravi Shastri is a diplomat. He has many years before him. He will not ruffle the Boards feathers. So we can expect a very safe encounter with Bangladesh. Lot of noise and very little substance.
Why isn't the BCCI preparing for the next World Cup, instead of blaming everyone else other than themselves.
To be a Board member you have to be a politician. And after 60 years of "popular leaders", we know that the only beneficiaries will be themselves and their chamchas.
You played selfish game and now you are blaming others. what a joke!. We are not idiot to listen to paper tigers. Why dont you coach the team? I know you will not as you are not capable of.

Remy, don't use general terms like"WE". Please don't speak on behalf of every Indian, becos lots of people in India , including dare to differ from your opinion.
Gavaskar was selfish, but he never divided, indian team to maintain his pride and make records.
Not all who play well can become good coach. Woolmer, wright, dave watmore, all were average players, but good coach.

the lil man with big mouth comes out and now says its coach's fault that team india did not do good. BcCI should be abolished and all the fat cats should be banned to be anywhere near cricket. A country of 1-billion and we have problem putting out 11 men. it is a shame. guess what they did to make any changes...............none. same useless bunch is sent for next matches. and u see all the fat cats walking around as if they have won the world. indian cricket is mired in red tape politics. i am sure without politics u can probably pick up many times 11 men in a single large state or city. India should have 3-teams of 15-men each. all 45 players should be under contract for very good income. anyone who makes the final fifteen from them for a series should be given a making bonus as well as performance bonuses. No one will be automatic for any series. secondly, change the standard set by british that the captain controls the paly on field. play on the field should be coach's responsibility like any other sport in the world. and during series keep bringing up the names of good players (out of 30 not on the team )who are doing well and would be coming in to next series to keep the pressure on the number one team. I say pay them lots of money but do get something back not just slow walking idiots who could not make a living without someone politicing them

well, all the people in this discussion are abusing gavaskar.I am not a great gavaskar fan but i see logic in gavaskars points.Greg is the worst thing that happened to india.Irfan, shewag and harbhajan completeley lost their way under greg.I am not sating that greg didnt offer anything .But his minuses are bigger that his pluses. We dont care if gavaskar is selfish and inefficeint. But bottomline is we fared badly under greg and thats rthe truth.Indian cricket is shambles and i am sure gavaskar is not responsible this.Instead of abusing our own greats we should all give some comstructive suggestion reg how to improve our cricket

Lack of commitment, fighting spirit, negative body language, playing for self recores, to cement place for next matches, sponsers, poor fielding, trying to expose each on the field, promoting groupism etc.. Has coach told instructed for all these??
chappell's big mistake was he treated all players alike, equally and push the players from comfort zone. many superstars were taken their placed for granted....
winning and defeat depends on performance of XI players on the field irrepective of coach, captain, pitch and conditions.
SL is playing superb cricket None of senior player /ex captain m envied mahila%u2019s his promotion as captain From the outset they gave unstinting support. they remained hungry to perform and did not rely on reputation or popular support to protect theanguly and sachin should have fought battle on ground rahter in dressing room both may successful to get rid of chappell but both players may not play WC2011

It is very true that the great TEAM INDIA has hit rock bottom, BEACAUSE of Greg Chappell's coaching. The infalliable Sachin, gritty Ganguly, the wall Dravid, solid adventurists Sehwag and Dhoni and Yuvraj, sharpshooters Agarkar,Harbhajan,Irfan....all were COACHED by the coach guru Greg.BY THE WAY DID THEY EVER NEED ANY COACHING. Was their commitment to INDIA or to Greg Chappell ? Can another great guru Sunil Gavaskar make them see light ? Then why not step in Sunil...at least for the sake of TEAM INDIA to regain its lost pride. OR are you awaitng for a lucarative offer to fill your personal coffers. The BEST and the easiest game is BLAMEGAME.

He wont join because then like all other coaches he will be judged on performances and he knows it is not only the coach who is responsible for on-field performance, it is a collective effort. He will stay put in Television and make millions without being accountable to anybody and indulge in BLAME GAME ie for every failure of Indian team see a foreign conspiracy.
