on what reasons was sachin and ganguly rested???

RE:RESTED
by Akbar Khan on Apr 21, 2007 02:19 PM  Permalink
Cricinfo and some other Newspapers reported that Rahul and powers that be believe that Ganguly played for his self and not for the team. But since Ganguly has very good record beginning from South Africa series, it was difficult to drop him. So they decided to rest tendulkar too along with ganguly so that it does not look like an act solely against Ganguly. Clever shot!

SACHIN & SOURAV -
AFTER THEIR HARDWORK IN WEST INDIES,
BCCI DECIDED TO KEEP THEM REST.
THEIR CENTURIES AGAINST SRILANKA & BANGLADESH
- A TREAT TO WATCH FOR ALL OUR CRICKET LOVERS.
SO CERTAINLY THEY NEED FOR REST.

AND I PRAY TO ALMIGHTY- MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN PEACE RESPECTIVELY.

Team Selection
by Ashutosh Kumar on Apr 21, 2007 01:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Selectors job is to select the best and effective team led by a captain who has genuine leadership abilities and not to provide comfort to a useless captain with proven record of failure by keeping out players far more talented and capable. Rahul Dravid has proved beyond doubt that he is not capable of handling pressure nor has the ability/natural knack of taking intelligent moves that captains of all leading teams in the world have demonstrated. Nor has he been successful in hiding his ugly instinct of getting rid of everyone he feels is a threat to his position. Had Ganguly entertained similar thoughts and not carried Dravid as a batsman and wicketkeeper to justify his position in ODI team, Dravid might have faded into oblivion by now.

Perfectly said. I wonder how Dravid still manages to keep captaincy. He is certainly one of the worst captains India has ever had. And he too knows it well, and that's why he is apprehensive of the seniors. Dravid, don't play the dirty games. Hating you these days.

Dravid was the higest run getter in 1999 world cup long before the P of C was made capitan. Actually he did a favour to the thankless Ganguly by accepting the keeping gloves & allowing the luxury of having an extra batsment or bowler which payed dividends to the idiot. One should have also the attitude for like Dravid for a team game, not just talent like Sachin & Saurav. May be both are more talented than Dravid in batting, but Dravid is there just because he has better attitude & will power than these guys. India needs a capitan like him to show the right direction to the team.

The next big blunder by Mr. Power & Co..
by SAMRAT GUHATHAKURTA on Apr 21, 2007 01:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

One question i want to Mr. Power and Niranjan Shah that have they ever seen the Cricket bat or ball. Having no idea of cricket how dare they hold the right to select a team of our nation. Are they r in the motto to rape our nation. They are talking of young players but is Mr. Dravid's age 32 or 23....pls Mr. Shah confirm.

Samrat, don't jump to conclusions. My uncle sells ladies panties, bras, sanitary napkins in thousands every month. He says he's never worn them but knows all other details.

So not having used does not mean they have no idea.

UNEXPECTED
by jatin dadhara on Apr 21, 2007 01:31 PM  Permalink

What is happening now a days in Indian cricket.Should we
foget cricket. Why Mr.Kapil Dev,Mr.N.S.Siddhu,and Mr.S.Sarmah come forward and fight openly to save country's status.Dravid is good batsman,i.e. no doubt, but is he capable for captain? To make a team leader, performance, seniority, quick and proper decisive, aggressiveness and who can only play for the country, not for his own .At present I think except Ganguly no one have that much capability then this was not happen? We are proud of our country that we are showing our position in missile and other scientific technology in the world but what about our sports? We hate politics and monopoly. We respect who can dedigate only for the country.
