IT IS A TEST FOR ROBIN UTHAPPA AND MANOJ TIWARY FOR SURE
by SURYAPRAKASH TATA on Apr 21, 2007 12:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

THE TEAM WHICH DILIP VENGSARKAR SELECTED FOR ONE DAYERS IS REALLY GOOD. IF REALLY ROBIN UTHAPPA HAS IN HIM THAT POTENTIAL TO REPLACE LIKES SACHI, SEHWAG IN THE LONG RUN NEEDS TO BE SEEN INTHIS TOUR. MANOJ TIWARI MUST BE TESTED AT 2ND DOWN IN ONEDAYERS TO HAVE ONE SUCCEED THERE WITH DHONI COMING AT FIRST DOWN. DRVID AND YUVRAJ SITTING BACK TO SETTLE THE THINGS IF WENT WRONG.

GAUTAM GAMBHIR IS GOOD AT WEAKER SIDES BUT HE IS NOT GOOD AT GOOD BOWLING SIDES LIKE AUSTRALIA, SOUTH AFRICA NZ, ETC.

TRYING HIM AGAIN AND AGAIN ON HIS DOMESTIC PERFORMANCES IS NOT GOOD. INFACT THE SELECTORS WOULD HAVE TRIED HIM IN THE LONGER VERSION OF THE GAME WITH WASIMJAFFER AS LEFT RIGHT COMBINATION MIGHT HAVE DONE GOOD.

ANYHOW, WE SHOULD NOT PUT TOOMUCH PRESSURE ON THIS INEXPERIENCED AND EXPERIMENTAL TEAM TO WIN IN BANGLADESH. IF WE EXPECT SO IT IS AGAIN A DISTURBANCE TO US. AT LEAST IF THEY WIN ONE ONEDAY IS GOOD THERE. WE HAVE ONLY 2 STRIKERS WHO CAN STRKE OVER 100 ARE YUVRAJ AND DHONI, UTHAPPA SURE WILL FAIL AGAIN.

BOWLING I AM THRILLED TO SEE PIYUSH CHAWLA OPERATING. HE HAS DONE EXCELLENT JOB FOR THE TEAM IN NZ AS CAPTAIN AND BOWLER. HE MIGHT BE INDIA'S ANSWWER TO SHANE WARNE.
ALL THE BEST PIYUSH.

I need to correct a bit . . Sorry

There are a couple of points you must know, Mr. Tata

1. Don't write poetry copying Ogden Nash.

2. Use words, combinations of words, grammar etc. that is understantable - eg. Good at weaker sides but not good bowling sides . . I think you meant "against" good and not so good bowling sides. Or writing " Bowling I am thrilled to see ". .

3. And relax buddy. What's the hurry ? Capital letters leave an impression of "shouting". So, please write in correct format. Writing in all caps is not the right etiquette.

Thank you.

Tata.

after sachin & ganguly's hard work in ICC Worldcup(6 CENTUIRES & 8 FIFTIES) - BCCI feel they might get tired and rested
for ODI in bangladesh. Shame..........
How they quote "rested" - it is supposed to be "kicked out" ..........ridiculous!!

Dirty politics

I can't understand why BCCI is supporting and pampering Dravid so much.Dropping Sachin And Sourav proves that these two are responsible for India's debaclje in WC 07.Tell me what Captain did in WC.I wish him for success in Bangladesh but I believe that our team Is better than Bangladesh any day.If India fails in Bangladesh then What Happens. Will Dravid take retirement.

selections
by dipy pahuja on Apr 21, 2007 12:17 PM  Permalink

Great job done by the selectors. They have conveyed it to the playlers that intrests of team india come first. People like harbhajan and agarkar have been dropped and people like sachin and saurav have been rested(meaning that the board has done them a great favour by not terming it as DROPPED keeping in mind their past records and the wealth of good they have done to indian cricket).
Sehwag now has to justify his inclusion. He has the talent and age both on his side.Joginder Sharma the haryana allrounder deserved a relook as he was summarily dropped after just one odi last time. Team India needs allrounders. PATHAN is a tremendous talent. He has to go back to the basics. The board should make it sure that pathan and harbhajan both of whom are hugely talented players should get the right kind of guidance in their haur of need. They have to make it sure that their talent is not wasted.

why sehawag always?
by pandu on Apr 21, 2007 12:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What the hell BCCI is doing, why does it select Sehawag who has proven to be in worst form and useless to the indian team and howmany times will mongia be called in and sent once agin. Either Mongia is thick skinned or BCCI is thick skinned. What is reason behind not selecting Irfan as he has been selected for the WC and he has not been given a chance and how can they prove his calibre. Nonsense BCCI and one should not select BCCI for selecting the indian team next time.

Brilliant. First and foremost if Indian Cricket has to improve then the total Working Committee of the BCCI must resign. These people who have absolutely no understanding and knowledge of the game should be replaced immediately with ex-players of certain standing. Under Sharad Pawar India get's knocked out before the Super 8. Everything cannot be blamed on the players. You had a Coach who was conniving rascal. A Manager who was a very malleable character abd above all a Captain who was spineless.

Once Great legend "KAPIL DEV" had said selectors the "bunch of jokers". he said that well. still the selectors are the bunch of jokers. they don't consider the feelings of the indians & they just want to make money for themselves. We the indians want the right to choose the BCCI members. or the BCCI has to find the opinion of the indians on any player & then take a decision on that.

at last the BCCI has selected the team with some young blood. but the BCCI selected some young players after world cup. What is the use after world cup? I suggest our players (who are in the advertisement) to watch PEPSI add in media. They should shame on theirselves.

ok any way PAST IS PAST. Just look into the future. BCCI

Karthik will probably take field as substitue for a few matches. He is a good fielder, but Raina is better. Don't think Karthik will get chance as batsman.
