Betting odds are not relevant to the results. In that case, India and Pakistan should have been playing. South Africa should have easily defeated Bangladesh in super 8.
It all depends on the team spirit. Although Indian Team have no team spirit, their intake of spirit is appreciable !
No matter who is the Coach ...these thugs......Sachin/Saurov/Harbhajan/Yuvraj/Shewag/Agarkar/Zaheer......will never bend and listen. Unless the Selectors give a shock treatment by dropping these players for sometime, Indian Cricket will never improve !

NOt easy for kiwis to do that. SL are very tough contenders. Infact they have already defeated kiwis earlier in this WC and that too convicingly.

Why not ? When our superstars, highly paid team can be eliminated before super8 stage, its not surprising Laggan team defeated the goras !!! Anyway lets clean our house first before talking about Laggan team !

Looks doesnot matters while playing cricket. It is the fighting sprit which SL have in abundance. They are competing in WC of cricket and not in MR. UNIVERSE or MR. WORLD.
I feel that,It was a deliberate ploy by SriLanka to keep Lasith Malinga out of last two games against Australia,and NewZealand.His action is always questionable,as in the case of Murali.ICC had to amended rule of arm bending to make Murali delivaries legal. All in All good luck to them for Semis clash with NewZealand.
I wonder how malinga has been allowed to bowl for so many years. To the srilankan's who say they are bowling, ask them to watch shane bond for what a real world class bowling is.
May the Kiwi's destroy the lankan's and set up a much anticipated Kiwi Vs Kangaroo battle and may the best on the day prevail that day
