Sachin's injuries
by krishna tallapragada on Apr 17, 2007 07:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

To my knowledge, this is the first time gap sachin not cliamed injuries between series. after 2006 srilanka series and champion trophy after surgery he claimed injury, again after WI series he is injured and again after SA series he is injured. before WC matches his injuries bothered him. after the world cup only that time his injuries not came up.
Now he is again the master blaster.
in reality he should be master bluffer

May be we should ask the ICC to restart the world cup. Now the master blaster got his nerve and regained his form. Scrap all the matches and reschedule the tournment. resign the telecasting rights. The players are ever ready to sign the advertisementcontracts.
what is the purpose of the world cup if the BCCI, ICC and players not made the money.

any one listneing

Nitesh.... shame on u..

all the guys cried on him when he is not performing well and suggest to play domestic cricket.. and in domestic cricket he is only one performing and all other young guns & old guns r not performing again cry that he can perform only in domestic cricket.. Those others who cant perform in domestic how can they perform in international cricket..

be cool.. leave this man alone... dont put pressure on him...

Is Australians expect Poting to score century in every match? NOOOOOOO, cos... they leave him alone and he dont have much pressure and he get good support from other players too.. But in INdia? A man scored 35 centuries in tests and only with 10 centuries has won means.. no support from other players especially bowlers. To win test match need to take 20 wickets than to score centuries... Lara made 400 still match drawn? In Sri lanka i think in 2002 3 test series WI lost by 0-3 to sri lanka and lara scored around 700 runs in 3 tests and still lost the 3 tests why? cos.. no support from bowlers..

hey all of you guys who are criticising sachin why
don't you speak about saurav ganguly. against bangladesh he has scored 65 in 130 balls . he is playing for himself to secure his place in the team. spare sachin now.

Hi,

Yes..every one in Indian team played for thier own good. I feel so good when I see team like sriLanka,NZL ,Aus,bangla or even Ireland . They show how to play like a team. Indian team is full of politics. Sachine should have kept quiet when media is full of WC loss.
score in 20-20 match is useless now after WC exit.

Atleast he scored runs instead of getting out giving an easy catch to the wicket keeper

RE:what abt saurav
by bharat on Apr 17, 2007 04:11 PM  Permalink
After having seen off the opening bowlers, Saurav should have played better than his 65 of 130 balls against Bangladesh regardless of loss of wickets at the other end. Most of the Bangladesh spinners were left handers and Saurav was ideally placed at least to place the ball in the gaps and run singles and twos. There can be no justification for the failure of the other batsmen, namely Sehwag, Uthappa, Dravid and Tendulkar, but at the same time, Saurav had the opportunity to rescue the innings by playing a bit faster which was possible without taking risks. But he chose to go into the shell. The cheap dismissal of rest of the Indian batsmen came handy for him to justify his slow innings. His reluctance to try to play a few more strokes can be due to either of the following reasons -

a) Selfishness
b) Lack of confidence

Ofcourse a lot of blame for the Bangladesh loss still goes to the other batsmen but Saurav must also accept his share of the blame.

the bangladeshi bowlers are not all that bad. just ask the south africans. It is easy to say that this guy should have done this and should have done that.
After sachin and tendulkar got out he had no option but to try and keep wickets intact. Many of you critics are very arrogant, they simply cannot believe that the other team can play better on a given day!!

What the hell Sachin is trying to prove out of such 20-20 matches? It will be better if he replaces Guru Greig. Make harbhajan a batting coach and sehwag a running between wicket coach.

by SAIANAND SRINIVASAN on Apr 17, 2007 09:10 PM  Permalink
He is not trying to prove to anybody here! He has to play 20-20 because the 20-20 world cup is coming up this year and he has to prove himself to the selectors that he can play in that world cup. so he is playing here! and its not his fault if he scores consecutive 60's against these domestic teams!

when he scores, you criticise him askin him to score against australia or sri lanka. when he fails, you paint him a villian. even if he scores against the big teams, you say that he needs to score consistently. when are you going to actually praise him?

being sachin tendulkar is a very tough and painful thing and one that could make people wet their pants!

he still is good enough to play for india for a few more seasons and i am sure he will back to his run scoring ways soon!

good point saianand.

If he scores what great deal, if he does not look we told you he does not know how to play...

And to top it all they will compare with all players... It has been said that he scores his runs against smaller teams... Man just look at his records... (even recent ones)
He has scored his runs agains Australia and Sri Lanka ....
Even his last 2-3 centuries (scored in recent time) is against these countries only....

They will rubbish the records as past ones...
See his recent innings and you will know 100 of 70 balls was 2 months back ..Is that long time ago ???????

Mike Shumi has not won all the races he has paricipated in.
Bardman didnt score in all the matches he played for Aussies
Pele didnt score a goal in all the matches he played for Brasil.

But Sachin Should be an exception and score all the runs ,whether or not other do , he should win matches by scoring all the runs

this is a good example of how all the player-bashers think like. They have no idea of the statistics but they will still air their baseless comments. First find out the statistics and then start making statements. Go to Cricinfo and you can find out very easily.
I think a lot of these critics are simply jealous of the success and earnings of the cricketers.
It is dissapointing that Indians failed in the World cup. But that does not mean you should question their integrity and committment. In Sharjah 2000, the Indians were all out for 54 chasing SLs 299. In 2001 the Indian team stopped the Australian juggernaut in the Test series. Good times follow bad times. Deal with it.

If we wish our cricket go Hockey way then put all present players to be coaches of our ranji teams. Since last 3 years sachin has never played a match winning inning. Most of the players have lost even the basic concepts. Bring totally fresh blood if you wish to have recognition for future
