Overconfident Bangladesh Team
by Gurubhai on Apr 16, 2007 12:31 PM  Permalink

Bangladesh team was done for their Overconfidence and by yesterdays display Ireland is much superior team then Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Kenya, There is one small joke....
One Egg jumped from the first floor and landed below safely.....Do you know why???.....because it was CONFIDENT....
then it jumped from the second floor but alas it was shred into pieces......You know why???...because it was OVERCONFIDENT...
The same is to be said about Bangladesh..Coming to super 8 is not a greatest achievement...but consistency is. Do not ever try and make yourself a a*s*s in front of the world by giving bullshit comments on other teams...They have achieved more then what you can dream of...and Ireland has brought you where you belong....Well done Ireland....

BD lost steam
by Vladimir Lenin on Apr 16, 2007 12:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is clear that after beating big guns India and SA, BD has lost steam. That is why they have now lost to IR. Shows they have long way to go in international cricket.

I too agree with you. 100 marks to you. These heroes are worthless. The legend plays like galli cricketer and gets out cheaply. By chance he makes a 50 then against Bermuda then immediately gavaskar comes in the picture to praising him lavishly. I fail to understand as to why our selectors keep on selecting him, instead throw him into dustbin, like Australians do.

Transform Indian cricket???
by heaven on Apr 16, 2007 12:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Guys wanna transform Indian cricket??

1. Institutionalise league cricket. Get the stadiums full for domestic cricket!
2. Put bright juniors in the domestic league, and invite more foriegn participation. Why not offer some of the world cup sparks like Irish players, Bangladesh, maybe few from Holland to participate.
3. Get one or two genuine pace bowlers (min 145kmph) to bowl to our boys.
4. Prepare more bouncy, pacy tracks.
5. Get some old stalwarts to personally coach some of the emerging talent, like Warne to train Piyush Chawla, Murli to train one of our junior off-spinners.
6. Get a good fielding coach; no one buy Jonty Rhodes....also a good sprinter to train our boys to do the 100mtrs dash within 12 secs...
7. Criteria for selection should be 100% fitness, this to be certified by 3rd party fitness experts!
8. A years domestic performance should be weighed out and without bias, only the deserving should be allowed access to the Indian team.
9. At least two new under 18 talents should be allowed to play with the Indian team to get some international exposure.
10. Send some chosen players to the English/Australian domestic league to face competition and improve skills.
11. Prepare at least 2 genuine pace bowlers, speed only speed is the criteria, 145kmph and make them concentrate on line and length.

Keep this up and in 2 yrs we will have a world beating cricket team!! What say??

No way. If you can say something for our players to become crorepathies from lakhiers, it will be accepted. The objective is not 'improving cricket', but 'improving (existing) cricketers'.

The way forward..complete edition....
by heaven on Apr 16, 2007 11:41 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

have learnt a few thing from this forum;

1. BCCI rocks, and Pawar is Gods gift to cricket in India.
2. Shastri will be the most succesful coach or manager or whatever for India, and he will set the base for a 'super-successful' India in the next series and the next and for the next few years and then we will comfortably win the next World Cup as well!
3. Tendulkar is king and will be 'rated' the best batsman for what he has done 5 years before!
4. Saurav will be in the team for a 'dramatic' comeback, and will cement his place based on his record of being the 'most successful' ODI batsman, he will take knocks by short pitched stuff and will eventually make a fifty...so he has contributed.
5. Dinesh Kartik will have the successful record of being a wicketkeeper who never kept wickets, and never played as a batsman, but he will be the most successful 'bench warmer'.
6. Sidhu, Jadeja, Srikkanth will be the most successful noise makers in the idiot box who will not be heard, so they will continue harping on the 'ills of cricket in India'.

It really looks rosy for Indian cricket in future!

Bangladesh is minnows
by tvs kiran on Apr 16, 2007 11:38 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

with the defect in the hands of Ireland, Bangladesh are once again called minnows in world cup, they are not underdogs. they had won against India and South Africa, but on that both the teams did not play to their full potential,it happens to all countries.
if u see Australia they lost straight 5 matchs in a row to England and New Zealand, but they are bounced back,
beware all minnows countries abt India and south africa will bounce back

Yuvraj scored a duck in 20/20 yesterday. He thinks himself as a Superman ! He was supporting Sachin recently. Let him concentrate on his career without bothering for Sachin, who already made tons of money.

To show protest for losing the World Cup, Mumbaikars should stop eating in TENDULKARS restaurant !!
