Why all are targeting sachin.
by mahesh goriwale on Apr 11, 2007 11:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why all are blaming sachin for the failure in world cup? That means all are agreeing that Sachin means Indian cricket team. If he fails Indian team fails. Then what all others are doing in Indian cricket team? Why any other cricketer could not take India ahead into super eight/semi/final as great contribution sachin did in 1996 & 2003. Was any other player ready before world cup as a replacement of Sachin?. All (Raina, Kaif,Venugopal rao, dinesh mondgia) were failed in less important series.

This is a column about Lara's retirement. Why don't you post your message in the right place and have some appreciation to Lara rather than talking about your demiGod here?

Sachin, Rahul, Dada, please learn from Lara and Kumble....

You should retire (at least from ODIs) when people ask 'why' and not when they ask 'why not'.

SO ARE YOU FOLLOWING THIS ADVICE DITTO AND NOT RETIRING NOW SINCE WE ARE ASKING 'WHY NOT' !!!!!

Forget the humour boss, the indian public is serious this time !!!!

Lara the Genius bids good bye...
by God Himself on Apr 11, 2007 10:20 PM  Permalink

A sad news as far the cricket fans are concerned, but had to happen some day. I would say he's one of those players who played selflessly for his country to see his team through. I still remember him when he played along with the tail enders against the AUSSIES and won the match for west indies single handedly. There has been many such occasions. If a player thinks he'll not be able to perform, he has to quit. I feel Lara has taken the right decision unlike other players. I dont think words are enough to express the achievements of this great player and a great human being. Each individual has something different to express about this great man. Hats off to Brian Lara. I wish you all the good luck for the rest of your life.
By a true Cricketing fan.... The whole of world would miss your batting...

The main diffrence between these two players is while Lara was ditched by his team by its poor performance, Sachin ditched his team by his poor performance

The other difference is:
Lara is praised even by Muralitharan & McGrath. Whereas Sachin is degraded by Chappel Bros. & all the Indians.

There is no doubt that lara's great batsman ,He never palyed for money like Indian cricketers,
He made a lot of records those are not broken easily.
But i hope indian olders should doing like like inzy and lara, They accepted the truth now i hope that indian will aslo accept the truth else our selectors should take strict decision,We should faith in youngers and concentrate on their training.

Again corgates to Lara.

sachin plays for monry whereas lara who has created fuss over pay and even almost pulled out of a series midway for money.
Get ur facts right son. It isn't sachin's problem if somebody wants to pay him handsomely. Atleast he isn't bunking a match for endorsement.

you get your facts right mister...he pulled out of tournament not for his money alone..but for the whole team...sachin or any other indian team member will never do that cos as long as they get their money they are not worried about anybody else or the team.

LARA no doubt has been a great palyer, but very incosistent through out his life.Still he is respected by his countrymen.
Sachin who has been far more consistent then lara(even Lara acknowledges it)doesn't get the respect he deserves even after leading Indain batting for over 15 years. Thanks to unthankful and disgraceful indian public that thimks Sachin career consited of only 3 world cup mathces.
