The next generation really misses a genius in cricket who ats like a machine whenever it is needed to lead his team single handedly to lot of victories that too against tough opponents, especially australia, the records speaks for that. If Vengsarkar did not sign the BCCI selection (not selectors' selection) of Rahul Dravid as a captain again, it should be raised again on 20th April meeting and sack Dravid from Captaincy. Dravid is a spineless, slave.
Indian cricket will be saved if Dravid is sacked.
He and Greig Chappell damaged the TEAM-INDIA in last two years.
Dravid is so CHEAP person that he even did not resign from captaincy and again accepted the captaincy. He never got education how to show and give dignity of moral values.
Sachin is still asset of the INDIAN cricket. See how whole team break down when Sachin gets out. Then Mr. Gum (Wall) even cannot save or win the match. Mr. Gum also exploited Sachin many times.

motivation shud be questioned. other players' ganguly played like a match fixer in all the matches in this WC. he played slowly in the match against bermuda too. against bagladesh he was terribly slow. he must be grilled by anti corruption sleuths questioning his intentions. dravid's odi batting average against SA and australia is better than ganguly and sachin both are opeining batsman? but dravid batting in outside india against strong bowling line up is better than ganguly and sachin ganguly was non performing captain for later 3yers of his captaincy but survived in team b'cuz of influence of dalmaiy. ganguly did not deserved to XII man team b'cuz his poor form and pathatic batting but he did not loose captaicny bajji went wktless and gave too many runs he latested achievement is that HE WAS INFORMED BY ICC TWICE FOR HIS WRONG ACTION. DHONI can bat only on dead ptiches of subcontinent and failed in WI SA. dinesh karhik is better wkt keeper and opened innings and won 20-20 match in SA it is unfortuante 2 ex captains are playing petty politics in dressing room with the strong marathi lobby and politicians support sachin and ganguly great players should fight battle on ground no more backstage politics if senior players are not supporting captain why don't blame the individual players dravid played under leaderhsip of sachin and ganguly he gave 100% to team, supported captain and perfomed against all strong teams and won many odis and tests. Yaar ..maano ya naa maano..Sachin ka din gaya. He was an entertainer..not Now.Sachin was an asset for Indian team.Now he is more of a liability..just to include him ,we could not give chance to other young guys in past.
Well its good to see him out for Bangladesh tour.It may be hard..but we just cant go by legacy.
Just think over - given a crisis situation if you weer told to pick among Lara,Ponting and Sachin whom would you pick.
I start the polling with Ponting - wonder why bad forms never seems to haunt him(especially in crunch situations) while all the 'greats' seem to have form troubles always.

what crunch situation u r talking? Tell me how many Ponting scored in the recent finals of Champions trophy and DLC cup final in malaysia??he scored big ducks in both. What about the tri series final against England? how much he scored and why HE COULD NOT SAVE aus from the cup defeat?????????
See..u kids..every one has failures..ponting also fails in many big matches..but we indians always amplyfying sachin's failures only..

Sachin fails in most of the crucial matches... When he was performing well in the previous world cup then what went wrong in the finals... Every time Sachin plays well, that is correct but he mostly faulters in the crucial or cup winning matches.
They say young indian team but where is the bench strength we have i think we will have the same team may be two youngsters picked up to as 12th and 13th man for carrying water for players.
Lara is the greatest batsman in bothforms of the cricket. One good thing about Lara is he'll play when ever team requires and also he is not selfish like Tendulkar. Sachin earned lot of money due to cricket, he still want to earn some more money. Sachin needs to think himself, whether he still can serve the country. If you want to compare these two great batsman I can say Sachin is better oneday player than Lara, but in Test cricket Lara is far better than Sachin. Lara is the only person who scored 400 runs in a test innings as well as 500 plus in a first class game. The conclusion is Lara sets an example and shown a path to Sachin.
