Honestly, who cares if a cake in the colours of the Indian flag is cut? The "pride" of a nation of 1 billion being "hurt" but cutting a flag coloured cake is the shame.
It is disgusting to see "social workers" who have nothing better to do go on filing useless cases in an already crippled judicial system. We don't even lift an eyebrow when we realize that 1 in 2 children in India is sexually molested, but ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE when someone does something some idiot perceives as hurtful.
In pointless jingoism, India is second only to the U.S.

Hey buddy, I am only replying this thread because of the "who cares" heading. Sachin might or might not be wrong in doing what he did.
I do care if the Indian flag is dishonoured. I am concerned about the millions of poor people in India and the sexual abuse and what not, but that would not entitle anybody to dishonour our national pride. There are social workers who do things about poverty alleviation and all other social injustices in India. Why should you justify or even let one injustice happen just because there are several others happening? Wrong is wrong, just because India is a poor country and that does not mean that someone can cut and burn our national flag. There is sexual abuse, exploitation and discrimination in all parts of world, not just in India, but you wouldn%u2019t burn their national flag in their street and yell "who cares"! Now if you want to do something about all these social injustices, we can join together and make a difference for our future generations, but even for that we need to move forward as a nation. So, that is a crime, if Sachin actually did dishonour the flag.
Nevertheless, in my opinion, cutting a tri-coloured cake cannot be considered as cutting a flag, and I don%u2019t think Sachin did anything wrong.
this is one of the funniest of lawsuits i have ever heard.. come on guys we have much more better ways to show respect that we respect our country, our society and our flag..
I dont agree with the guy who filed the case, Tendulkar is not a king of guy, he will maintaing his standards and always respect the country and Flag, he wear Flag on his Helmet, he went to court to get the permission to put the Flag on Helmet and Government allow him to do it. If you feel somebody did the mistake that is High Commission in jamaica not the Tendulkar.
Where are you when so much foreiners and indians disrespect our gods and Flag. Comeon find some work for your self and grow up.

Yes, You have a right point to support Tendulkar...B'day cakes are alwayed made to cut..I am also curious, whoes idea it would be to make such a cake with indian Tricolour...But as Tendulkar saywith "so many people around he did not realise the colour of the cake" He is not a kid to say this and not to realise the colour of cake...which was too big and can easily be recognize...Has be become such a great to forget the colours of indian flag?
Whats wrong with that? Mr. Jain is crazy...Who put the cake before Tendulkar...Prosecute the chef who designed it...Prosecute the people who showcased and paraded it...PRosecute the photographers too...Poor Tendulkar was given a cake and a knife...What else do you do with it? Prosecute the people who ate it also...Gosh, they ate the national flag!
