Winning or defeat in matches depends on performance of XI players irrespective of captain, coach, pitch, stretagy and conditions. Bangladesh and SL victory against India is best example and a captain is as good as his team and it is individual palyer to deicide to suppor team and captain or play for self ?? IF team win all players come forward to take credit then all players will be responsible for the defeat.

Your are right Suman .. Dravid needs to be supported by us cricket fans atleast, after his own colleagues let him down badly .. Iam sure dravid will come up trumps in the upcoming 3 series ... Iam sure he would prove every one of his detractors wrong ..
Dravid is indeed a shrewd skipper .. he makes some clever changes in the field and all of u guys,please note that, aggression doesnt mean, running up and down frantically or removing your shirt and waving it wildly .. dravid and ganguly are very good captains with different styles .. and more over, dravid continues to be successful with the bat without captaincy affecting his batting ... Importantly, he never indulges in politics as do, people like saurav, or yuvraj or bhajji and more recently ( and quote shockingly !) sachin also .... Please note that, india won many matches under saurav becoz of dravid's consistency with the bat , the australia series in 2004, pakistan 2004, england 2003 , were all tributes to dravid's superb batsmanship ... Whoever can talk whatever they like, but no one can ever take away the class of his batting , whether u like it or not, he is the most consistent indian star for the past 10 years , winning and saving matches for india routinely ... let's not bad mouth him ... and w.r.t WC debacle, clearly the reasons were 1) batting failure 2) internal politics , so why do we blame rahul for this ?? BCCI has done well to appoint him captain till the england tour...

1. Well ... if speaking against the board means POLITICS then Ganguli, Sachin everybody are doing that except the "good boy" Dravid. 2. Regarding aggression ... the whole world saw Indian teams Body Language ... Our Shrewed and Aggressive captain failed completely to bring the body language of his teammates out. I won't consider that a big qualification for him. 3. Nobody questioned Dravid's ability as a batsman ... yet. But I was really amazed by seeing people started pointing finger on Ganguly ... And somehow this post is silent about that.
Fact 1: Dravid is a good batsman (even I can give him a good strategist). He is a BAD Leader. Fact 2: BCCI is playing old politics once again ... I never understood who this "Jagdale" dude is ... I don't know if he ever played even street cricket!!! And he is our team manager ... and his report is the most valuable document to BCCI just because he says what they wanna hear. Fact 3: The most acceptable seniors in Team india are Sachin and Saurav ... note ... its NOT Captain Dravid!!!

If that is so, you'll be called a hypocrite or spineless captain, who could not implement what he himself proposed, viz. restricting the endorsement of Indian cricketers.

Dravid as a captain won most of the matches in Indian soil !!!!!!! DADA has done well in foreign soil !!!!!!!! He is the best !!!!!!!! Dravid doesn't know to use the players!!!! for example Dravid should have selected Pathan instead of Uttapa or Shewag in the league matches Or send Sachin and Shewag in the opening slots!!!!!!!!!!!The same pair smashed Waqar and Shoaib in 2003 world cup !!!!!!!!! That's how we won many matches in 2003!!!!!!

he is the man who has played for india and will be playing for india in future too. In his about 375 onedays india has won in about 160 and in which he won about 70 for us himself what about dravid and ganguly together may be 20-25 coz almost 25 is won by kumble himslef.....
