Aussie spirit
by on Apr 09, 2007 06:13 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think Aussies are keeping their spirit alive. Indian cricket should have to learn something from this. They often fail while chasing a total. All Indian team has to do here is to do some SMART WORK than HARD WORK. We need players which can anchor the innings and lead India to victory. I am not saying that nobody has done it in the past;we need consistent efforts.

You have to be mentally strong to chase a score. India needs to improve. Even RSA lost to BD becuase it is not mentally tough.

Bangla is crazy to think
by Minto on Apr 09, 2007 05:57 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Bangla is crazy to think that it is theoretically possible to make it into semi. They have never beaten in England. These little guys are day dreaming and will be brought back to reality by the English sahibs. England will rule over Bangla.

Minto.
Sorry to say shame on you ,you are still supporting the England team ,just remember this country has brought slavery and poverty to INDIA for years and they have robbed all the wealth from INDIA during their rule,so stop being a fool and and atleast try to encourage this little team of minnows for their great achivement by beating WORLD CLASS TEAMS LIKE INDIA & SOUTH AFRICA,above all you should think that they are from the subcontinent .hope you will understand and get this to your amateur thninking brain."GROW UP BUDDY"stop feeling JEALOUS that if INDIAN team couldnot come out with bright colours with so much hype given to them ,atleast these youngsters have shown some professionalism by beating both WORLDCLASS teams INDIA & SOUTHAFRICA by good margin.this shows their hard work and instincts.

AUSTRALIAN WIN
by Gopal Ramchandran on Apr 09, 2007 04:17 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

IT WAS EXPECTED AS USUAL..AUSTRALIA WOULD WIN..
BUT ENGLAND DID SHOW SOME SIGNS OF A SURPRISE VICTORY..THEY WERE EPHEMERAL..
AND THE PREDICTED RESULTS CAME ABOUT.
NOW LET US SEE WHETHER AUSTRALIA WOULD WIN THE WORLD CUP EASILY..
IN THE MEANTIME ' FREE PRESS JOURNAL' HAD SCREAMED 'GOOD RIDDANCE' ON GREG CHAPPEL'S 'RETIRED HURT' AS HEADLINED BY TOI..
WHAT WE NEED IS ' OBJECTIVE ' REPORTING.
THE EDITORS' PERSONAL FEELINGS ARE INCONSEQUENTIAL..
I WISH WE COULD REPORTING DONE LIKE IN' MANCHESTER GUARDIAN' OR THE NEW YORK TIMES..
AND FINALLY BCCI HAS ALMOST IMPLEMENTED EVERYTHING GRE CHAPPEL HAD RECOMMENDED..
OUR PAST CRICKETERS MAY LOOK FLAMBOYANT ON THE TV WITH MANDIRA BEDI..BUT THEIR OPINIONS WERE ALL CLOUDED WITH IGNORANT PERSONAL OPINIONS..AT THE BEST OF TIMES INTHE PAST INDIA WAS MEDIOCRE..
GREG HAD / HAS AN ANSWER TO EVERY QUALITY RELATED MATTER ON INDIAN CRICKET..
INDIAN CRICKET OBSERVERS HAVE TO WAKE UP..
PLEASE LET THE ASTROLOGERS / THE MANTRA CHANTING SACHIN LOOK - ALIKES STICK TO THEIR UNSCIENTIFIC "GLORIOUS INDIAN TRADITIONS" OF THE PAST..
LET THE INDIANS COME OUT OF THIS REVERIE..

I donot agree to this...may be you need to watch more of news in CNN or NDTV on the action items of BCCI post Apr 6 and 7 meeting. Many of points which were agreed upon where putforth by our Ex-Cricket captains.

Why shoule BCCI negotiate?
by Reform India on Apr 09, 2007 03:53 AM  Permalink

All the super stars and so called Legend are useless why should they negotiate with players. No Ads should be only condition. Pay them well and we have load of youngters waiting for opportunity. If Dhoni says no we have Karthik. If Sachin, Ganguly, Shewag or Dravid says no still we have better players. We can train them and they can do the job. First of all Mr. Pawar is useless. He has failed both in his Ministry and as a BCCI president. What he knows about cricket?

Our Seniors or so called Legend should do?
by Reform India on Apr 09, 2007 03:38 AM  Permalink

Our Seniors or so called Legend should do? Ball boys job during Aussies match. Learn from them they are also one of the biggest cricket playing nation like India. Imagine other countries small in size and population. Its purely politics and not to give up the earnings. Even God cant change Indian Cricket. I feel sad for our Cricket viewers for spending their time, money and shouting come on India.

Peterson too slow
by Quasar on Apr 09, 2007 02:41 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

After Bell departed, Peterson was cocooned. He is the villain of the match. Look at how he was jumping after his century, as if that's the main goal in this match.

He is criticized that he thrown out his wicket. He not carry forward to big score. For that reason only he played like that.

With an almighty bowling line up that consists of Clarke, Tait (who I think is one crappy monical seles grunting like bowler), Hogg and Symonds tells you how far the standards of cricket have fallen. These bowlers in the 80's and 90's wont even have a sniff at national team and here they are in 2007 on verge of winning a 3rd world cup. But then again, this puts the notion that you need 5 bowlers in a team to rest. But then myt prediction is this bowling line up will be showed up at some leg of this world cup and they aint winning it this time

dude, aussies have changed their game.. they know their bowling sucks, so they are making batting as their strong point, but yes, aussie bowling is worrisome, ay of these teams, NZ, SL, RSA... might give them a challenge.. but kuds to australia to be dwinnning after such a bowling line up... it is like india winning after agarkar, agarkar, agarkar, agarkar and agarkar finishing after 50 oversl
