Indians as Dreamers
by dream man on Apr 09, 2007 12:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Autrialia wins in Cricket, Rugby, Swimming , are better placed in Olympics. Not to mention their good show in the of the soccer worldcup just going down to eventual winners Italy by a sole goal.
Indias on the other hand are behind cricket, eat cricket, suck cricket, drink cricket and loses in cricket.
And other sports in India is sucked by Cricket. No use.. this will go on until people change and stop running behind politicians and cricket. Future will also be the same.

I agree with you...though i also feel, wat's lacking is the cultural mindset...parents still across the country focus way too much of time and energy on academics and too little encouragement on sports...this mindset also spills over and shows the absurdly poor infrastructure for national level tournaments...in other countries one can fail in school because of poor performance in fitness/gym or sports...but in India...the physical training instructors are the same ones forcing English grammar down childrens' throats...so its a bigger prob...one that has a very bleak future in the present scenario.

Indians does not take risk and wants security. Indians concern for food ,clothing and shelter Therefore middle class and lower middle class wants their children to be professionals like engineers, doctors, graduates etc. They never try to become sportsmen.

Y knw what makes the australian team the best in the world? it's the killer instinct, whichno team in the world is possessing tdy.Look at the way the maul teams such as SA,India(2003 fianl)BDesh,England and so on .They knw what the world cup means "Pride".Our Indian cric team can never ever get even close to it cause indian team lacks that instinct.
They are a pampered bunch who knw the value to play international cricket (Money,Money and more money). I request every one to, Stop comparing australia with india,it would be a meaningless comparision.

While i agree with you substantially i think what sets the Australians apart is that they are always competitive and have a backup plan to implement for any situation. See yesterday. England at 162 for 2 in 25 overs , score of 300 looking likely and i did not see a single tense Australian face on the ground. If that had been India in a similar situation you know how the body language of the entire team would heva looked.

punishment to the Indian team....
by heaven on Apr 09, 2007 10:50 AM  Permalink

Let us have a 'Punishment' tournament; lets make the indian team play with each of the semi-finalists......and ensure they lose big time!!

This will add insult to injuries and make them relook at themselves, so that if there are any further pretences of being world-class, it will come to an end!!

Aus Vs India

Buddies
You may be wondering how come the AUSTRALIAN TEAM win matches one after other,
Simple yaar,
THERE IS NO
NIRANAJAN SHAH
SHARAD PAWAR
NENE
LELE
AND WHAT NOT
THE MINDLESS PEOPLE %u2013 WHO DON%u2019T KNOW ANTYHING ABOUT CRICKET
AS THEIR CHIEF OF SELECTION BOARDS,

Even their control board %u2013 no doubt they make money but yes with gr8 accountability,
Every person knows his job and fulfills it.
At our place even if TENDULKAR AND SR. PLAYERS are on their death bed, out BCCI will tell them to play & even these players wanna make money in that way.;

Look at the players like Mcgrath, Shane warne they are making way for the their juniors when they are doing gr8,

In our case its just reverse

Balls to country and its respect I have made 10000 runs plus so let me play no matter I perform or not.

Guys stop comparing INDIA WITH AUSTRALIA
They can%u2019t be like that,

All is our attitude we don%u2019t wanna be like them,
Chappel wanted to introduce a system which was difficult and so harsh that even the players like TENDULKARS were finding it difficult to digest, pls think again

As is the case with most white men, I hope very soon Chappel will comes out with a book and gives details of every cracks in the BCCI and crooks in the team.Alas ! it will be too late by then.I hope he does this before our seniors retire so that we have a pleasure of kicking them out.Bcoz after a couple of winning series' everyone will forget about these selfish players and the games going in in BCCI.

Just see the Australian team. Aren't they great. You know what Ricky Ponting said. "All the guys are professionals. Everyone knows his job and we just go out there and do it. This is the true team spirit, which india lacks.

Good News to Indian Team:
Because Santosh compared Australia Team to Indian team, Australian team felt insulted and all of the ausy team members committed suicide a few minutes back.
In the same way we can compare SA, NZ, etc and make them commit suicide. Then there will be nobody to beat us. So India will become world champions shortly. Good News. Sachin, you can shoot more ads and make more money.

Indian players will ask what is 1 kg of team spirit? Is it available in shop? The amount of hefty incentives should be reduced.

how does this aus get..
by veerapuram murali dharan on Apr 09, 2007 09:42 AM  Permalink

how does this aus team maintain their hunger for winning matches and trophies every time they compete???

they now have two most stiff tests in the form of lankan lions and kiwi dashers...if they still suceed against the two, then we all should go by the saying:" if u cant beat them, jojn them"....hope they are not invincibles...
