Deepak Ji,

A polite person can handle the tough situations when the situation demands. He is not a coward. Politeness and cowardly acts are different. Giving respect to others is not cowardness. He does not believe in Nautangi as other players do. Regards,

Very well said, Mohanan. Dravid is the best choice now 'cos of his non-political behaviour (unlike some of his predecessors) & total professional approach towards the game. We should give him more time with a younger bunch of players.

Make Bal Thakrey as a President of BCCI and Pravin Togadia as a Coach so the indian cricketers understand word "Deshseva".

Ganguly could have been the best option!
by GILLBART KUMAR on Apr 08, 2007 02:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It seems they just want to act different!

Well...Ganguly could very well have been the best option as he was keeping the fire glowing irrespective of his performance ...certainly we don't want to face any further humiliation...God save us!

ganguly should stop playing politics and promote groupism. He ditched dalmiay and dravid
there is an opinion sachin plays for records and when in crucial matches he wont' ber there for team service. IF he is great legent, why he insisted to open batting. ??
IF IND PLAYERS FIGHT THE BATTLE ON THE GROUND RATHER THAN IN DRESSING ROOM THEY WOULD NOT HAVE OUT OF Wc IT IS NOT LOSS OF DRAVID BUT ALSO GANGULY AND SACHIN. LATEST DEVELOPMENTS AND PERFROMANCE IN wc MATCHES DID NOT BRING ANY LAURELS TO BOTH GANGULY AND SACHIN
and performance brings ICC awards and dravid's career is best example for that
ganguly and sachin both are better stroke players and odi opening pair and got more runs and 100s than dravid but DRAVID STILL AHEAD OF BOTH OF THEM XII IN ICC RANKING...
dadagiri groupism politics will bring bad name
if ganguly thinks he took revenge it was his loss also. do u think he and sachin will be there in team for next WC

suman bhat, pls know what chappal feels about ganguly:

On Sourav Ganguly: "He has practiced most of what I had preached during the time he was out of the team. He has shown plenty of determination in winning his place back. I hope he continues to work hard on his fitness and score heavily for the team."

captaincy is given to dravid after his poor show, it indicates that mere politics is going on. Its very true, that south looby is presuring on BCCI to make poor dravid as a captain.
It seems a lamb will lead a team of tigers.

"It seems a lamb will lead a team of tigers. "

excuse me, is that bangladesh you are referring to ? we hardly have any tigers in our team. ganguly is fighting his place in the team, he's a shadow of his former self. his game is subdued, and he's playing it very very careful, just accumulating runs. sachin played well against bermuda, but i dint see, any flashes of his earlier brilliance, yuvraj - ditto. we have others who are largely unfulfilled promises - bhajjie, agarkar, uthappa - none of them clicked when it mattered during the world cup.

okay it was only 3 matches. but the older lo havent been performing since a very long time, that includes dravid.

the larger malaise is our system at bcci has adopted, which is why they say" forget the past" wonder if they will repeat it again - after another 5 years!

Why the so-called tiger does not refuse to play under the lamb which itself shows that no more tiger is in the team except Dravid. We all know the story of the roles played by Buddhadeb and Lallu Yadav to bring back the self-styled tiger in the team.

dravid has support of ex cricketers

Retain Dravid as captain, Sachin should quit ODIs

Should Rahul Dravid be replaced as the captain of the Indian team?

And the answer was in the negative with 86 per cent saying he should not be removed with only nine per cent saying that he should be replaced.

The rest five per cent did not have any opinion.

http://www.cricketnext.com/news/retain-dravid-as-captain-sachin-should-quit-odis/24099-13-2.html

Reaso ns why Dravid should stay captain

ODIs, Dravid is again on par with India's best despite the team losing its way in the later

Sala iddli sambara khake Dravid phir jayga mara murga jayse feild mein utarne, boring to see this fellow leading the team - God give senses to our BCCI buggers we want a man who can look into the eyes of the opponent, who walks in the

feild like a King - none other than Ganguly looks like a Man fit to be called 'India Captain'.

south lobby ? then what about the west lobby or the eastern lobby. all the bengalis have one agenda - forget whatever ganguly does, forget that he's had a bad patch, forget how he's scoring his runs, whatever - just gloss over everything to support him blindly.

the way forward is by forgetting lobbies.

Due to the pressure put up by east lobby like Buddhadeb and Lallu, Ganguly is in the team. Buddha and Lallu even threatened to withdraw support to Central Govt. to bring back Ganguly, which cannot be easily forgotten.

Hi, Lotiya,

It is no secret that Buddhadeb and Brinda Karat openly came to the rescue of Ganguly to bring back to the team and Lalu had also given pressure on Sharad Pawar. I have seen their Statement on TV. Even Com. Jyoti Basu and Ms. Mamata Banerjee objected to it and told that politicians should not intefere in sports. It is none of the business of a Chief Minister and a Politburo Member of a Political Party, that too, which claims itself to be the representatives of downtrodden, to give statement in support of a Criketer. When farmers are committing suicide and they are being killed in West Bengal, is it fair on their part to issue such statements. It is your choice to salute him or not to salute him. But I cannot.

Regards,
