Indian team do not require any dadas it require leader who can manange team rather than making dominent decisions.
I do agree that indian has not performed well in world cup. WIn and lose are the sides of any game.....it is not that always indis should win.

No Tough Decisions! BCCI has proved its a sissy and has given the captainship to another Sissy!!!

One expression of Rahul Dravid stands out in my memory from the world cup. When Tamim Iqbal was going after the bowling and hitting our bowlers for huge sixes, i saw Rahul's face - distraught, clueless and helpless, frustration and pain was clearly visible on his face and he put his lips together and blew air like a baloon looses air; shoulders slumped - No authority over the game...

That expression says it all. Its pathetic to see him bat, field or even be on the field. Inspite of him taking blame, he isn't punished??? He is rather given captainship for the next 3 tours???

Absolutely Pathetic State of Indian Cricket. I just went to the record books and checked - Dravid has hit only 33 sixes in his long International carreer of over 300 ODIs.

I can't wait to see him bat against bangladesh again. I'm sure he won't be able to reach a strike rate of even 50 in test matches.

GOD WHERE ARE YOU? PLEASE SAVE INDIA FROM THIS MAN!!!

You are right that Dravid was in a helpless situation. No captain can dream a win when all his fellow players are batting and bowling badly. Even Riky Ponting can do nothing other than what Dravid did. Remember, Dravid was the only one to score a big score while India played the crucial match against Srilanka and if you do not know go through the figure that he and Sehwag did bat and nobody else could or did score 20 runs. We gave tiger and master blasters who could not make a double figure at all. If Dravid had some Ranji players, India would have reached second round at least.

Bangladesh tour
by Anantha Krishnan on Apr 07, 2007 06:48 PM  Permalink

Just like India created a record playing against Bermuda, I hope more records tumble while playing against Bangladesh.

This is the time for the Tendulkars / Dhonis / Gangulys / Yuvrajs to create personal records. It will be a shame if they are not able to do it at least now after the World Cup debacle against Bangladesh.

Dear Friend, U are wrong .. Marathi people are the great people who have contributed maximum to Indian Cricket and also to India on the whole ... and remind U .. If Lokmanya Tilak would not have been ther, U would have been still slave of the British coz he started the mass unrest and is rightly called as the father of Indian Unrest ... and for your knoweledge .. Ravi Shastri is not a marathi .. he hails from Rajasthan ..

Why Venkatesh Prasad ??
by shilpa britishshit on Apr 07, 2007 06:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

why not Abi Kuruvila or Vivek Razdan or Ashish Nehra or Debashish Mohanty appointed as a bowling coach.

we are having lot of loosers having worst record than Venkatesh. I think those are more deserving.

All bowlers will now be coached to

a. bowl at less than 120 kph

b. not bowl any bouncers at batsmen

c. go back meekly to bowling run up if batsman abuses you

d. get into unnecessary verbal duel with batsmen when you are getting hit for fours and get fines imposed on you

e. not bowl opposition out when they are tottering wiuth 7 wickets down. basically not have any killer instinct at all

f. just keep playing safe for a place in the next match instead of going all out as a bowler
