Lavkare well Done
by vinay dubey on Apr 05, 2007 08:16 PM  Permalink

Well done Mr Lavkare,
Tendulkar doesnt have any right to Protest or Squirm as he and some Seniors only enjoyed Calypso in Carribian. Its high time Indians understand that we need team of Young Players who could learn and adapt to new Tricks of the game.If we stck with Ganguly,Sehwag,Tendulkar Combo we surely would be defeated by the likes of Ireland,Bangladesh and Kenya as these eams looked certainly gritty and showed Definate POSITIVE attitude .
The Senior Combo Conspired to pull Down Rahul Dravid who always salvaged Pride of India in every match India Played abroad and Ganguly got the Laurels.
Young players learn from others unlike our Seniors who want to teach lesson to Austrailians on Paper while still continuing the Age old folly of being defensive Batters infront of Quality Fast Bowling.
Good the team is back and it saved INDIA Humilating defeats in Super 8 at the hands of Quality teams of Aussies,SA and New Zealnd. All the Ex Players and Idols who Phoo Phooed Chappel all the time did not have guts to Own Folly of not teaching well the Indian Batters at National Cricket Academy.
They dont have courage to come up and take the reins of Indian Coach as they want to Play Kingmaker and exercise their remote Control with continuous exertion of influence on players. This resulted in Outburst from Sachin who forgot to play and dance to whimsical tunes of others.
Its good that Indians know it well now and its sad that fall of Sachin is near.He will not go much ahead in records after all.

The HARD TRUTH
by priyaranjan bairisal on Apr 05, 2007 08:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

You are 100% right. The players have attutude problems copled with hunger for endorsements. Why a coach will want to malign the seniors if they perform. I don't mean one should perform all the time. But atleast one should have the fighting attitude. The Indian batsmen batted as if they are making mockery of the Indian people and the BCCI.I think all responsible including the BCCI should be penalised. Of course, the HARD TRUTH HURTS.

Nothing will happen. BCCI will come out with a statement, 'What happened is unfortunate. BCCI is constituiting an expert committee consisting of Sunil Gavaskar(who made 54 runs not out in 60 overs in WC), Venkatraghavan (captaing two WC teams and exiting in first round) & Ravi Shastri (Tortoise who won Man of Series Car)to come out with a framework to take us for 2011 world cup. TO enable that endeavour entire BCCI working-committee and this expert team will fly to West Indies to watch remainder of WC in style. Lavakare, Rajan Bala, Panicker and their ilk will be sulking here and throw some more Gyan on what ails Indian cricket.

The inquiry has to be open
by rajesh ravuri on Apr 05, 2007 08:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The PCB chief declared that the report finding their disastrous worldcup will be made public.

When Pawar became BCCI chief he talked about transparency in the adminstration. If he really means it, the report submitted by Chappell and the duscussion between the captains and the board tomorrow should be made public. We the cricket fans deserve to know what went wrong and who is responsible.

I get a feeling they will censor everything and release all that we already know to the public as always.....
Somehow there has to be a strong message sent to the board through the media that everything should be made public. Then perhaps we will know whether it is the attitude of seniors or the coach or the board or whatever....
How many go with me in this??????

Who has asked you to watch cricket when Indian team is involved? It is very easy to be arm chair critics. Do not waste time. If you can find way to take responsibility to change Indian cricket, do it. Otherwise silence is golden. Same is the advice to all other friends who are bringing reginalism, abuses and and all negatives against fellow Indians which will only divide our minds on wrong lines for a game failure.

FIRE TENDULKAR

Kapil Dev once said, "no one is bigger than the game?... So, fire him. First few months there will be some quarrel... But trust me, things will be just fine after that. So what he had played too many onedays and test games ... Everyone should move on someday... This your time to exit with respect like Chappel

Hey you... please remember that only a few can exit Indian cricket with respect. And Chappel certainly is not the one who deserves respect. If he did not have the team that he thought could win, he should have resgined then. Not grumble now.

Send a young team to Bangladesh. Make Kaif the captain and Dinesh Karthick the Vice captain. Uttappa and Gambhir will open. Rohit sharma. Suresh Raina and Yuraj Singh in the middle order. Give Irfan a complete chance. Rest Sachin, Saurav, Rahul, Viru and Dhoni. These seniors need not play against a team od level of Bangladesh :( If we put the youngsters in for a revenge, we will have something to look out for in the future. And this is the right time to take chance.

by cebu jonas on Apr 05, 2007 07:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Had Chapell%u2019s dream team gone for this world cup %u2013

Chapell%u2019s eleven:

Karthick
Uthappa
Dravid
Tendulkar
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Suresh Raina
Zaheer Khan
Munaf Patel
Sreeshant
Powar

Reserves:
Gambhir
Pathan
Kumble
Ishant

India would have been qualified at least for semifinals

So the culprits are -

Ganguly
Sehwag
Agrakar
Harbhajan Singh

And Tendulkar%u2019s failure in crucial moments%u2026%u2026..

Question: Can BCCI realize this tomorrow?

Answer: only 2% chance

Yes you are absolutely right. The whole team attitude is not correct. The attitude problem is a infectious disease. If it starts from one and carries on to other and if not stopped, it will destroy the whole team. If it was correct, it would have put a fight against teams like Bangladesh.
