please be carefull in inviting canada, bermuda. India may not improve by 2011 WC, but these countries will definately improve and beat India as B'desh. so selection of Singapore is OK, we will try some other countries like Thailand, nepal, burma in our team for 2011WC, which will boost up our spirits

Thanks Greg for showing us the Mirror!!!

How can the cowered cricketers want a grassy pitch!! If you remember our 'great hero' Sachin gave 2000 Rs to curator of green park stadium for making a 'dust bowl' after winning the test against Newzeland when he was captain. The reason is that he wants to thrash Newzeland on a dust bowl and want his players to make century and double century on that pitch!! If our heros have these kind of 'Skin-saving' mindset, how can we expect our budding cricketers to not follow them!! I'm not in favour of making all the pitches in India a dust bowl but there should be a diversity of it, like in Australia where Sydney is spinners haven then Adilade is batsman haven then Perth is a fast bowlers haven. But here O God! what a poor mindset. Our captain(Ganguly) ran away from the test bcos of the green top of Nagpur...ha! ha!
All these players are selfish and only selfish....
There is nexus not only between 'Mafia' players and 'Match fixers' but also between BCCI and corporate world. I mean how can you include the kind of player who is in pathetic form like that Veeru...match winner??..the truth is that he was backed by the companies for which he was endorsed!
One thing Chappel did was absolutely right that he opened up this nexus..Sachin is now behaving like our 'Netas' and trying to gain sympathy from Indian public..and we stupid Indians believing him again like we believe in our 'Netas'...Chappel has shown that how rotten the Indian cricket is from inside and the CANCER is in the last stage, where no cure is possible.. or is there any cure?? any body who tell me the suggestion to cure it...huuh...no body can!!!

Well the philosophy here is grass is for cows, so our batsmen are scared of grass on the pitch.

I do not believe that BCCI will take any constructive action. They will form an Inquiry Committee and that committee will submit a report after 10 years. By then the non-performing cricketers will have made their money and if possible, become office bearers of the BCCI. The only hope of unearthing young talent is the Zee TV. Our superstars will certainly not play there as one has to work to earn the money offered.

WHY INDIA WERE KNOCKED OUT OF WORLD CUP.
by ADRIAN CORERA on Apr 06, 2007 02:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Whom to Blame for world cup DISASTER... Finally we have the answer....!

The Coach? The Players? The Media? The Mafia? The Fans?

No, definitely No!

The answer lies in HISTORY........!

Two of the most powerful personalities - one from ancient history and other from modern history ............

Indira Gandhi (for creating Bangladesh) and Hanuman .... (Not destroying Lanka completely)

nah. you could also include the wcc organizers too for not including teams like Vatican City, Solomon island, Uzbekistan, czeck republic, phillipines in the tournament and for not putting india in this group.

Throw all those lazy ones in Indian Ocean.....
by E.S.Subramanian on Apr 06, 2007 02:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its pitty that still those rich and famous stick on with Indian cricket like a parasite....throw them all in Indian Ocean and bring in fresh blood...atleast we will have better team for the next world cup....learn something from the Bangladeshis. We don't have batsmen,no good bowlers and fielding is very poor...any body who knows a bit about cricket can see that for themselves.Harbhajan has been declaring that he has a secret weapon called doosra...I find that he does't have a pehla...forget about doosra...Mohd Rafiq is a better bowler than him....pick up those under 19 kids and train them...they will do better.

hello my friend your dream is seeing in mail is looking good. but you have to come out from the circle why again dravid ,dhoni ,zaheer,& harbhajhan . we have to suggestion in proper thing why for example from WB - bose is good bowler in ranji trophy , lashkmi balji from tn what happen to him y they are not selected for world cup squad he played in last world and also in england series also. sehwag should trained by those talking more like kiran more and some senior players they have to take responsibility to make shewag and kaif and all young players . if anyone ask to kiran he can do these things no never he can only do politics in teams and talking to medias only .so better choosecapabale bowlers from local teams .

Grow up man,

What are you talking?Sourav ganguly back as captain?I strongly believe that ganguly should be first to kick out from team and then second in tendulkar.Tedulkar had said that in his 17 years history none coach coplained about his attitude .But in last 17 years what havent had bold coach like Gred chapped and neither Tendulkar was in terrible form.

Dravid is the best as captain.Veru , Sachin and ganguly should be out of team and let Dravid and new coach build new team completely. If veeru and sachin will perform well in first class then think of calling them back and observer their performance.

You better grow up. Ganguly has the right attitude and that's why he could bring in laurels which Tendulkar or Dravid could not bring in. He took us to Semi Finals of WC and won scores of matches. He has kept the Aussies under his wraps when he was a captain. He has made the Aussies show respect to us, not quite like Dravid girgirafying ... Ganguly could fire up the youngsters and fought for them, not like Dravid trying to play safe all the time. Dravid is the worst captain in Indian History. When you face tough opponents like Aussies who are great at playing mind games, you need a guy with attitude to rebutt them. Dravid lacks that passion and guts.

Arvind is absolutely right
by Gogol Namesake on Apr 06, 2007 01:55 PM  Permalink

I fully agree with Lavkare. Nothing substantial or path-breaking decision is going to come out of the BCCI meetings. Root problem of cricket in India will remain for many years to come. No coach or captain can lift the standard of Indian cricket with current setup in place. I have been hearing about BCCI's plan for preparing fast and bouncy pitches in India for so many years but virtually all centers (except mohali) are flat and dust bowls.

A series win in Bangladesh in May and everything will be hunky-dory for the board, the players, the media and the general public.

Even the Times...
by harsh p on Apr 06, 2007 12:34 PM  Permalink

Guys please go & check todays Times of India for Articles by Sumit Mikherjee.
Now tell me what he intends toi do with these articles.
Its amply clear that the media writes with a hidden agenda, To provide news is different but to highlight a certain news to hurt a certain individual(In this case Dravid & Tendulkar) is a crime.
Mr. Mukherjee has been doing it for a long time now, ever since ganguly was thrown out he has been criticising dravid.
Its about time that this stopped..
