A god, and a kick
by biz Narayan on Apr 05, 2007 09:18 AM  Permalink

The good thing about Indias exit is disgust to these disgusted fans... They have all sorts of complains (beyond sports) against their own, whom they called gods. The god of the atheist is meant to be kicked around.

They use a fine century by a mumbai player to throw all sorts of complains beyond cricket.

Should have been there in world cup 15
by Vishal Nalkur on Apr 05, 2007 08:54 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

rohit sharma has been knocking on the dorrs of the selectors since the past one year with his blazing knocks. he played well as a part of india A team in abu dhabi, and yet a mediocre guy Ro from hyderabad.(cant even remember his name) was ushered in to showcase his boring batting skills. that despite vengsarkar (chief selector) and rohit sharma both hailing from mumbai.

There you go..."despite vengsarkar (chief selector) and rohit sharma both hailing from mumbai"...
Its attitude like this that hurts our team..petty regional biases.
Just one year of cricket and he is ready you think ?? Look at the accompanying picture closely and you see poor Parthiv Patel in the background..a player who was exposed too early never to come back..

Feel bad for Youngsters !!!
by Krishna Kalidas on Apr 05, 2007 08:26 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I feel so sad for these talented youngsters.. they may never get a chance to play for india because some senior so called proclaimed demigods of Indian cricket with support from money minded BCCI people and former cricketers will stay in the team untill they are 40 just to make money.. and no seems to care about indian cricket.. pathetic

very well said Krishna.

Our country will never be world beaters because of people like biz Narayan. Sachin, Saurav, Agarkar, Dhoni and Shewag should be shown the door.

Sachin keeps saying he has spent 17 years of his life as if he did favor to india. Agreed, till last world cup he did a great job for which he was compensated TILL NOW.

I don't understand this
by vighesh kumar on Apr 05, 2007 06:35 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If Sharma walked in when Mumbai were 67 for 4, and he attacked and got a century, how come the total score is still 145? Even if the batsman at the other end is not hitting any runs, the score should still read 168. Am I missing something here?

Earlier, Gujarat's Jai Desai scored an unbeaten 51 off 34 balls with seven boundaries as Gujarat posted 141 for 6 in their 50 over

it was 20 over not 50 over match
some mistakes in the articles

Rohit Sharma, go take up Sachin's place in indian team...
Since you are from Bombay, Gavaskar would surely support you.

Sathis P doesn't need any support from Gavaskar, he will be happy to throw slander on his own.

Dude! he just scored 100 in India and its not a big deal.. Scoring in your own backyard is not a problem.. Problem is scoring outside our country places like (WI, Aus, NZ, Eng and Zim) most players always struggle to score in these countries, because they are use to playing on batting paradise. If Rohit Sharma scored 100 in Twenty20 game i am pretty sure other player would score too.. We had the example of champions trophy 2006 in Indian nobody expected pitches will be bouncy and pacey and we all know how India did on those tracks. We need to make pitches more bouncy and pacey to get our player in the groove. I am pretty sure there are thousand's of Rohit Sharma's out there but selectors need to open their eyes.

Famous dad played culprit in spoiling Prodigy son's future. That's the only reason. When he had come to the international scenario everyone claimed comparisons with Sunil. :(
