Dravid should declare his resignation now
by Uttamkumar on Apr 05, 2007 03:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Now Dravid should resign taking the blame that he could not lead the team properly in the World
cup and last 2 years.

He also joined for lot of nonsense experiments with Chappell and Kiron More.

Dravid should not resign for that reason but

he should resign because

its a shame leading such a team who went out on wicket in front of his eyes one by one against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

When only 4 wickets gone and 6 wickets were there in hand, Dravid gave maiden over also.
That's the captain knock?
He never tried to decrease the pressure. Rather he hitted 4 fours at the end when nobody was
there.

There is another Dravid basher. DO you know that Dravid was a puppet to chappell. What else can you do when the other seniors gifted their wicket away during the SL match. No matter who was the captain for the SL match, India would have lost if the so called senior players play like this. Come on. Dont blame Dravid. If any player had stayed there with him for a big partnership, then you guys wud have shut your mouths up. Alas, that doesnt happen and you found a reason to bash Dravid.

SHAME ON YOU INDIANS!
by Shan on Apr 05, 2007 03:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Greg has nothing to loose, he will be merrily going around the world coaching some other team-But what happens to the Indian team after this? Which coach will come froward after all these cheap tricks played by the U S E L E S S PLAYERS?

If they cant perform then its their problem?
Whats wrong if Greg wanted junior players into the team?
How long do you expect all the old fellows to remain in the team?

If you want all the old players in the team then why not get in players like Kapil Dev, Ravi Shastri, Gavaskar etc etc....

The treatment given by the Indians to Greg for dreaming about a better Indian cricket is shamefull.

Today my head bends in SHAME FOR BEING A INDIAN!

SHAME ON YOU INDIANS!

If at all you want something get it with grace, not with shame.

Thooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Greg is the worst coach I have ever heard of. Not even fit to coach a school team. Always focussed on experiments, not the results!! made every player feel insecured, brought differences between players. In such conditions no players can given their best. No wonder they play for their place. The only good thing is he left before been thrown out. End of bad days for Indian cricket.

OK, Give me 3 good reasons why Chappel is right and Sachin is wrong.
Just by spending few months with the team he has right to criticize senior players.
How is our team better in last 2 years, which is a good player he has shaped up.
Come on think before you write such things.
This was just an advise

yes because he knows and studies the game carefully and plays according to it. It doesn't matter that the senior players are having a strike rate of 100 or 200. it matters how they handle the pressue and Dravid by far does it well than most of the other seniors

And while keeping strike low they also make sure required run rate goes up and build pressure for others.

Why not foreign players?

Australian B team can play much better than Indian National team.
Suggest BCCI to invite or contract Australian B team.

AB is good choice
by jackson on Apr 05, 2007 03:17 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Make Amitab Bacchan as coach. If his name is suggested for President why not for this. He will atleast entertain the cricketers when cricketers are not entertaining us. Later he can absorb them for movies. Nowdays our cricketers are teaching our young aspirants the art of "How not to play cricket" ?

Yes we can ask Amitabh & if he refuses we can convince Micheal Jackson ! He lives closer in Dubai & will do a lot better than the big B !in entertaining I mean. Further Jackson has better "Foot work "than any other !!

Hahahaha maybe AB can teach them how to dance to his famed "Pag Ghunghorr baand" and they can collectively dance on the field and entertain the masses when they lose a match. That way the fans won't burn effigies and they won't have to hide in police cars to return home after a loss.

Will any Coach be good enough for our Team?
by indiantothecore on Apr 05, 2007 03:08 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

A Coach can guide and lead a young team to victory bcuz they can be moulded when still young. It is extremely difficult for any Coach to discipline egomaniacs on his team who are worshipped as Gods.

Our Indian team requires warrior-like sportsmen with a thirst for victory. Superstars past their prime resting on past laurels are busy raking in the moolah to have an adrenaline rush for a win. They lose the hunger for it.It is not brain surgery.

LOL Agreed. No Coach alone can win matches. He needs total support and unconditional respect to discipline his Team and guide them towards Victory.

Players who openly blame Coaches for their poor performances can never respect them..period!

Thats true, but Coaches who cannot manage the Senior players is useless too. Its is like an organisation, need to have a right mix of youth and experience, why dont we have coach of 20 yrs old.
Come on grow up.

I think Chappell is right in his statement that Sachin should quit. He has not being responsible. Just because he was a good batsman years back doesnt mean he owes 1000 chances.Sachin should go now. Ann

Ofcourse he is right.

If you compair Sachin to other players in the world. You would know what Sachin is Today.

He stands at 22 at ODI and Test ranking after 17 years.

Utaappa is new so he is at 94.

What about : Shawagh and Ganguly??
