When Ravi Shastri batted boringly, he was booed and barracked by the Wankhede Stadium crowds
When Tendulkar failed against Pakistan in the last test match, the crowd of Wankhede stadium did not spare their local hero either.
Did a single Bengali criticise Ganguly for his excessively cautious (& slow) batting against Bengladesh or even Bermuda where others were scoring freely? Or his failure on encountering a better quality of attack against Sri Lanka? These blind worshippers find justification for whatever Ganguly does right or wrong!

Don't just write messages if you don't know the stuff. Ganguly was booed away in Eden multiple times. I was there on one such occassion, against Pakistan in 2004 (when India won the match due to Karthick's great knock).

Because Bengalis are Bengalis, the others are Indians.
Usually, when I send such messages, the typical response of a Bengali is to quickly remind me of the contributions made by Bengalis to the freedom struggle, Desh Bhakti etc. But all that does not negate the fact that the Bengalis are blindly protective about their clan and look at the criticism of one Bengali as critism of entire Bengal!

This is a good article by reddiff. Chappell is a brilliant coach and is trying his utmost to bring discipline to the team and make them a fighting unit but he cannnot do it unless he receives cooperation from all sectors. The public just wants to blame someone else other than their beloved cricket stars who they worship. The public nowadays is so narrowminded that they cant even open their eyes and see whose fault it is for the Indian teams horrible performance. They will blame Chappell, they will blame Ian Frazer but they wont blame the actual culprits who are the Indian team. The Bengalis support Ganguly no matter wat and the Maharashtrans support Sachin. Putting the country ahead of everything else should be the approach.The public themselves bring diversity to the team. If someone is underperforming he should be shown the door and asked to prove his value again. Its because of this reason the Australian team is so successful because of how their system works. People plz grow up and start putting your country ahead of ur cricketing Gods. Dont blame Chappell or any1 other than the cricketers who forgot the value of wearing the Indian colours.

It is one of the best thing that had ever happened to Indian Cricket, ie the resigning of Greg Chappel. He cannot go on blamimg everybody for any failure except him . As a manager he too is resposible and he has seldom owned any responsibility for any failure so far , since his taking over as coach . He ha sonly taken the Indian Team backward and clasic example being , making Ifran what he is worth today. And too many and too much of experimantation with the batting and the bowling slots only has led to so many failures including the exit from the worldcup in earlier stages. Hence Greg chappel rather than , also owning(sharing) resposibility of failures , should stop blaming others , in future, if he has to be a succesful coach

Why blame chappel ? Who has stopped Sachin to Bat.Master blaster etcc who was not able to negotiate one good ball blames coach.Who has stopped Dhoni to bat ? It is not coach responsible for the defeat ,but oour own players failure with bat.Infact bowlers did a good job in restricting Sri Lanka. Few matches?? Last 3 years after his return from injury, Sachin hasnt even looked half of his former self. If u want to go for past records, call Kapil Dev, Gavaskar and all the former cricketers who have impressive records back to the squad. First of all let me tell u that I'm a patriotic Indian and just coz Im christian doesnt make me less of an Indian. I put my country first and evrything less second. Underperformers must be kicked out. I support Chappell coz he worked his ass off trying to get the Indian team to perform and show some discipline but the Indian cricketers think of themselves as Gods bcoz of people like u. Very few cricketers in the Indian team such as Dravid, Kumble and Tendulkar to some extent are hardworking and disciplined. But Tendulkar has been out of form for the past 3 yrs and shud be made to prove his form again. Ganguly shud be kicked out coz he never looked to be in form anytime in the past 4-5 yeares. Wenever he has scored runs in the past few yrs it has been against minnows or against teams wid weak bowling lineups. Recently in the series against Sri Lanka he scored runs against a bowling line up widout Vaas and Murali. Against Australia in a test match in 2004, he scored a century against a bowling line widout McGrath and Warne. Wen was the last time u saw Ganguly make a century against one of the top teams(Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand) wen they had their full bowling line up. Wen was the last time u saw Tendulkar batting like his former self?? Wen was the last time u saw Tendulkar take on one of the bowling greats like he used to do bfore(McGrath, Warne, Akram, Akthar, Murali etc etc) The fact that no1 wants to admit is that Tendulkar is no more wat he was and might never be. And Osho ull never be able to comprehend and admit it coz ur too narrowminded and dont have enough brains to fill a peanut. Since u think its foreigners fault for ruining Indian cricket, wen Anushman Gaekward and Sandeep Patil coached India, wat was the the state of the Indian team then?? Steve Waugh dropped or resigned because Pointing alreay too the charge and team was leading wins. And also steve was not out performer. Same thing is Bevan. Mark Waugh was bit out of form.
Australian selectors also not looking for the region based selection (like there must be one/two players from South Zone, East zone ...so..so like INDIA.
Players should be picked out based on the overall performace. If ten players come from South or West or North, it does not matter. Problem of selection in INDIA is lot of politics and money laundering goes on during selection which is not in Australia.
In an interview Sachin has openly said that in all these circketing years no coach has questioned about his batting ability and technique and it was Greg who had done that first and that it had hurt him seriously. How egoistic and arrogant sachin is. He thinks he is god and shouldn't be questioned by anyone. He has been allowed to grow by BCCI even while not performing. He strongly believes that there is no replacement for him. This is too arrogant. Due to politics there are many players dumped. Our cricket is always dominated by Maharashtra and Karnataka. I still wonder how Uthappam got a chance in WC. SACHIN, QUIT CRICKET and pay customs duty for Ferrari with interest. P.Chidambaram should look into this.

Scoring 14000 runs ( and perhaps he can reach 44000 runs ) and 17 year story is of no significance. Hayden has only 5000 on his bat, and will be figuring in his third Cup Final. Thats the diffrence we are talking about, and what Sachin refuses to understand.
Th whole country knew that the senior Mafia's role in the game. They got the coach they wanted , and they say he was the most useless coach. This is because the coach is likely to rlease the mafia's information to BCCI, now to protect themself and with the plan of playing in the next world cup - they have turned against the coach.

Why blame chappell? remember it was these BCCI members who elected him ahead of Amarnath after seeing his presentation and his dynamic views. All were happy when we won 17 consecutive chases, when we won the test series at WI. it all started from the DLF cup and from the on there was a slide. People are happy when everything is going smooth. The impact of WORLD CUP is so enormous than a tour of India to any other nation and our subsequent loss goes sidelined. Even if you are appointing GOD as the coach, India cannot win on foreign soil if the pitches back home are not changed to bouncy tracks. Its useless to blame the coach or captain. What can they do? Just to hear all the nonsense thrown at them and keep quiet.you change captain, bring young blood, bring fielding coach, do yoga/meditation do whatever you want but change the pitches first.
Give chance to new players. Listen to the coaches since they had been great players and they can analyse the faults in the team. Indian players can not plan their career properly so they are frightened to leave the game. Most of them do not exit gracefully. There are lots of exciting players knocking the door. Players should be taken on the basis of there current form rather then their past history.
