Sachin ; The most selfish ..,
by Nakkeeran on Apr 05, 2007 08:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sachin is the utter selfish player. What does he mean by saying that he has given heart and soul to indian cricket.Probably he played as cricketer for first 7 yrs and for last 10 years he played to the tune of advertisers.
Sachin is a clear case of an above average player being hyped as world beater by the media and emotional hysterical indian public.
In his 10000 test runs you can count the very few timely innings for match saving or winning. Similarly in one days also.
He has stooped so low that he is creating sympathy for him. Tendulkar is nowhere compared to Lara, Ponting, Hayden and even Jayasurya.
I am also great Sachin fan once. But now it is hightime he announces retirement and stops begging for his place.

No emotions or sentiments need to be attached to Sachin's or any other so called cricket Genius or God's statements and we shouldn't again fall prey to anyone's tricks. These people are capable of raking up our emotions and seek sympathy for their own survival. As if they're martyrs who sacrificed their all for and did great service to the nation. Nation or we people owe nothing to Sachin or any of these cricketing `geniuses'. Instead, they only owe a lot to the nation and the people. Whenever these selfish people can not perform and get scared of losing their places, they play this sympathy game as if they breathed cricket, lived for cricket. Infact, cricket is their last priority. When other cricketers were busy practising for the world cup, our cricketers busy shooting for the Ads. Afterall, this is a bumper season with mega offers. As cine stars have managers to negotiate financial deals, these less than ordinary cricketers too have their own to look after their busy (shooting) schedules. Let's not fall pray to the crocodile tears of these men yet again and clearly understand that cricket and the nation was their last priority and money, fame, girl friends etc, were only top priority to them. Once to stardom, they get to think as if they're Gods! Let's do away with our worships. These men do not have even 0.00001% of patriotism of what our BSF jawan guarding our border has.

So, Sachin & Co., do understand that, your game is over and it's time to go on 24 hours shooting spree and to bid bye to poor Indian cricket.

Team India
by rakesh pn on Apr 05, 2007 07:52 AM  Permalink

After the exit of Greg Chappel, it is now time for a new team for India taking into future of Indian cricket. All senior players now should be rested and a new team of youngsters should be chosen. The contract with the new team should explicitlystate no player can endorse any product in the mass media and if anybody violates the same his contract should be immediately cancelled. This ensures that the minds of the players are focused in playing cricket rather than making money thru advertisements.

It is not necessary to have a foreign coach we can chose somebody from our country taking into account of his experience.

Let us have a new begining for Indian cricket, the sport that is loved by millions of Indians.

To conclude rather than blaming each other for the failure of the team let us start afresh by selecting with totally new team that is committed to play for the country.

Team is Big Joke!
by South Indian on Apr 05, 2007 07:45 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Indian team is a big joke now. None among them has the fitness for average fielding abilities. Sachin, Sewang, Ganguly, Harbajan are incapable of it. They play groupism within the team.. isolate Dravid and eying for captaincy and cement their position in the team citing their 4 year old "records".

Chappel had no personal interests. He was hoping to make a change and give a direction to the team. Indian cricketers are not any professionals. They dont want to be so. They need flat wickets, home ground, and weak teams to score runs and make records.

Chappel understood it. Tried to correct them and failed. They came together, did a silent coup and got rid of chappel, so that the they will decide what should be Indian cricket. Ofcourse all of them may play for at least 4 more years and make more money and launch more restaurants and business.

I think the best coach for Indian cricket should be Ravi Shastri. He can concentrate on his commentary and Sachin Ganguly Pte Ltd can do all the rest of the "work".

Its better if Dravid too retire. He gave his unconditional support and applied 200% when team needed it, rescued them in most of the ackward situations. India won all of those glorious matches because of him. Having received such a "wonderful treatment" from his teammates when he was made captain, he should be satisfied with his career. So it is time for him to retire and allow his teammates to play another 17 years.

I firmly believe all of them conspired to loose.

TO ALL SPORTS SPONSORS
by Arun Kumar on Apr 05, 2007 07:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If u companies think u can market ur products well by making these so called cricketers act as BRAND AMBASSADOR for ur products, you will be duped, nobody is gonna buy those products marketed here after, so plz don't make them as your "BRAND AMBASSADOR" WE WANT CRICKETERS NOT MODELS IN THE CRICKET FIELDS, i feel Sachin, Sehwag, Ganguly,..... are good models for advertisement

Bengalis destroyed indian cricket... played politics with cpm putting pressure on bcci to take him in... his useless innings at the world cup is the main reason for india's failure...

but bengalis consider that great and bark at chappel who was selfless... bengalis will protest if ganguly is not taken into team at the age of 65! loosers!

ALL SHUD GO
by jeet gupta on Apr 05, 2007 07:30 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It would have been too late had Chappell decided not to quit now. Neither he had any energy left in him to coach us futher n his relation with players had gone haywire.
Senior players also try to cool their bumps somewherelse rather than cricket as they all are now spentforce.Even they try , they can never be the same due to age factor n their other commitments in life.
We shud make young team .Selection pattern shud be changed. Domestic cricket must be given importance.
