Panoti Chappell
by prince prince on Apr 05, 2007 12:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

during 2003 WC India was in great form, India was second only to Australia, it actually sounded as a threat to Australia, and have a look at the team and the game after Chappell entered, (mind it well even Chappell is an Australian), Chappell has calculatively and purposefully played dirty politics in and with are team, and we can see the Indian teams fiasco in the past few months as well as the WC. After every few days there is some news about Chappell and his games, is'nt this obvious for the readers of this board to understand simple logical game played by Chappell?
stop licking this chappell's backside.
stop supporting Chappell.
he has resigned for good

Panoti gaya.

India did well under chappell too for quite sometime....13 or so ODI wins in a row at one stage....he's a coach...he tried to clean the system as wat he saw was wrong....he tried to implement new strategies....is really all the blame to be laid on his feet if the players could't follow those things....wat was he supposed to do?? run out n bat n bowl for them also??? as for dirty politics in indian cricket they have been there in indian cricket long before chappell came and will be there long after he is gone.

Yes, Dada should be kicked out. I am fully agree with you. And we should honour the other players. Dravid, Sachin and others played very well. They each deserve 'Bharat Ratna'. Let us plause them. Dada played very slow against Bangladesh, And other players palyed very fast. We should praise them. You people are right. Dada played for his career and played slow. Other players played for India, and got out quickly. Yes we should praise them.

Hey men,u have totally forgotten that only DADA got d good start at opening for last 10 odd matches for India....it is baseless to comment also coz d pitches India played were not like that 1 gets in India...balls were stopping & it was DADA only who have played sensibly, otherwise India couldn't beat Bermuda even!!..DADA is of a great heart only who gave Rahul a berth in team as a wicket-keeper batsman in 2003 W.cup....but shame on Rahul, who never wanted DADA in team when he bcame captain later.

Resign of Greg Chappell
by madan kanwadia on Apr 05, 2007 12:01 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is a great decision in favour of Team India. Greg Chappell may be a good player but failed as a coach. He converted a super team into the poor team. Some following more person are also responsible :-

1. Our bowlling attack was completely failed against Bangladesh. Otherwise 191 score is sufficient against Bangla Desh to win the match.

2. Ganguly is also responsible against Srilanka becouse he was the only player who was playing in full form. If he played responsible cricket then result may be in favour of India. But sorry to say that he played irresposible shot against Srilanka and lost his wicket.

3. Dravid again bats slow. He pressurised the whole team to bat fast and result wickets falls down.

Suggesions:-

1. We should improve our bowlling attack.

2. We should improve our placing game. If pitch does not support to batsmen then play placing game for singles or doubles run in place of four or six.

3. All the bowling players must be good batsmen also.

4. Sachin should play as opener batsmen. becouse he plays best cricket in first 15 overs.

5. Moh caif, Irfan Pathan, Ramesh powar should change in place of Agarkar, kumble and Bajji.

Yes dear,
Team india was super team but chappell has converted into poor team. Sachin is best opener batsman. he can't play in middle order. When he makes century in first match next he rest. Chappell don't wants to play Team India against Australia in the final. Dravid fully pressurised. Our Bowlers bowled over pitch or shot pitch ball without line & length. Bowler Coach is required who can guide to our bowler to bowled out-swinger or in-swinger only.

@Madan - firstly we need to get all the oldies of the team and bring in young blood full of passion to perform and secondly give a coach his place and third we as fans should grow up and take the team to task and not defent them with our eyes and brains closed for years!

its the diwali for indian cricket...
by shrey khanna on Apr 05, 2007 12:00 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

greg has left...and i love him for this only..

time to regroup ourselves and support our boys.. we are in a deplorable condition of almost the same magnitude as we were in 2000 after match fixing thing. saurav built the team and we need his services now, not nessecarily as the captain but as a senior player he is the key, else how do you expect biys like raina, karthik, sreesanth to play with peaceful mind after all this mayhem that chappel has created. after reading times of india its crystal clear that there i sno rift between the players anyhow. they din perform well only coz somebody form th edressing room always haunted them. whosoever doubts sachin's integrety should not call himself a cricket fan coz sachin is indian cricket as gandhi was india.. watever he said came form god's lips... i had a premonition about wat happened in the worldcup and if my sixth sense turns out to be completly correct then i see saurav taking riegns again and india doing well again in a very short time, mush lesser than it took after 2000 debacle.

thats an optimistic indian sugning off..

cheers to all..

support the boys..and men too..

Sachin's Real Words
by JaaPee on Apr 04, 2007 11:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Describing reports emanating from Greg Chappell's camp as "mere rumours", Sachin Tendulkar on Wednesday rejected suggestions that the Indian cricket team was divided and that seniors did not help youngsters.

He also denied that he had "any rift with anybody" or anything against anyone, an apparent rebuttal of reports that he and Chappell did not get along well during the recent disastrous World Cup. In an interview to a TV news channel, Tendulkar said the last ten days had been painful and hugely disappointing to the team because it feels that it had let down the nation, did not live upto its expectations and the players as well.

Asked whether the team was really united in the West Indies, he said "the team was united. I would prefer that the team stays united. These (reports that there were differences between seniors and juniors) all rumours.

"The reality is otherwise. Youngsters are all part of us. It is not like that (fighting). We are extremely close and we are like friends, no matter what X, Y, Z may say". Tendulkar said controversies are raked up when the team does not do well and "all these things come up."

Asked about media reports today quoting him about his unhappiness with Chappell, he said he had not used language like "hit out" or "blast". "This has never been my language. It is not my nature to get into fight with anyone. If the coach had said that, I am hurt."

To a question, he said "I am not against anyone. I have no rift with anybody. These are rumours".

About the reported conflict between senior and juniors, the batting great said "I do not think it is correct. Seniors always encourage juniors. We joke around, we always walk up to them , tell them what they should do. If there is something wrong with me, you should also tell me."

Asked about his feelings after the World Cup exit, Tendulkar said "I think the last ten days have been terrible. It was nation's dream to win and bring back the Cup. The team worked hard for it. But it was shattered in seven days. It was one bad day against Bangladesh and again against Sri Lanka.

"it was hugely disappointing. We have disappointed nation's hopes and expectations and we have not been able to live upto its expectations. We will regroup and play and give happiness to the country".

Asked if it was the saddest day in his life, Tendulkar said "I am sure it was extremely sad because nobody in our wildest dreams thought that we could be back so early. And this is beyond imagination."

"We want to tell the fans that we are extremely sorry for having disappointed the entire nation and all the hopes were on us and we were not able to live upto expectations", he said.

Asked what was his message to cricket fans, he said he would like to tell the nation that the team was together and would go out on the field as a team and not as an individual.

"All we need at this point of time is your support and your good wishes because it means so much to the players when you know that the entire nation is with you, behind you and wishing well for you."

Dont cry Sachin. One can have ups and downs. However you should own your failure and not pass on the buck to someone else. You failed to deliver in the last few years and there is no reason why U shd be in the team. It is as simple as that. The average fan may worship you but with that comes an expectation to win for him. U smashed their hopes..
