Tendlya's Guilt
by sahil bhat on Apr 05, 2007 12:16 AM  Permalink

Greg Chappel never specifically questioned ''The great'' tendlya's attitude. Has greg signled out tendlya in particular to the papers or on the TV? He had just castigated the ''seniors'' as a whole. so why the hell is''the great'' tendlya getting edgy and quite apparently, feeling guilty about greg's views?I feel tendlya is trying to stir the public's emotion for wrong reasons.yet another master stroke by the oppurtunistic sly ''master farter''.

Greig's plan.....
by chinmoy chatterjee on Apr 05, 2007 12:15 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

His plan was to ruin Indian Cricket,-he did it.
His another plan to make people fool,- again he got the success,he knows if he can creat a situation to disturb the senior players properly
then it will be very hard for the Indian Cricket team to overcome the bad phase,-yes he did it, and we are realy intelligent citizens.
And we shd thank ourself for the intelligence.

Its not true u idiot. It was the Indian team who lacked practice and hard work. It wasn't chappel who said to do ads and not do practice. Think twice over it!

I would like to clear Myself
by Greg Chappell on Apr 05, 2007 12:15 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I would like to thank rediff for giving me the opportunity on this forum to reply to my detractors.

I would Like to clarify a few things group members:

1> I did not leak the information in the media I suspect Saurav has a hand in it...I%u2019m yet to figure out how?

2> If you want to ever world cup 2007 its time you get rid of Saurav, Sachin, Harbajan, Zaheer, Yuvraj and Shewag. Retain Dravid as captain and groom a young side.

3> Raina may not be scoring Runs, but has the potential to be a wonderful captain

4> Give me 4 more years and i will take Indian cricket out of the dark ages.

5> Give me the team i require consisting of youth and a bunch of youngsters who would listen to me.

6> I need the nations support, if you want to be a great cricketing nation place your trust in me.

I will be taking your questions on behalf of rediff over the next 30 minutes, please feel free to pose them

I hope this answers a lot of questions posed by rediff board members. I thank rediff for the opportunity and the rest of the Indian Media.

I totally agree with Greg. Few points to understand:
1) All our Senior Players scored runs - when thay are Young and Fit physically to do that. That is the history of yester years. Today the history is Bangladesh beat India in qualifying round.
2)If the Seniors still say they are correct - what happened to them with Bangladesh and Sirlanka - Can't they assess each ball to hit and some runs - purely due to their experience.
3) If you can not do that, you are the culprit.
4) TRUTH is always BITTER. Very difficult to swallow. The same for all of us.
5) These seniors promote so many products and lure innocent Indians to buy them and when the same Indian praise them - they fly over. But when the same Indians curse them, because of their inability, they feel we are nuts.

6) Everyone in the team should be accountable. If that happens, there won't be any such situation in the future.

7) Seniors have seen the World and they should allow the and encourage Juniors to comeout and show their talent.

8) Instead of debate, all senior players should have given a joint statement in the media that they are at fault and repend for it.

I am Indian first and then a fan of cricket.Let all the players have the feeling and behave like Indians, so that we regain the Glory.

read between your lines,

problem with one or two players is understandable.

after Greg joined, the whole team started rotting, every week some new controversies with greg involved.
it was all done purposely and purposefully

Should Not Quit
by Jins Thomas on Apr 05, 2007 12:07 AM  Permalink

I personally feel Greg should have quit as a coach of Indian Cricket. Coach can help you improve ur skills it upon the players to implement it. He should have continued. and Sachin should take a break and then come back with a bang to Cricket Cause HE IS A LIVING LEGEND. One of his kind. I still feel he has more cricket in him. Its his bad patch which is going on. It will pass over and he will be back thatz for sure.
Its Hard to be a COACH of INDIA and a PLAYER for INDIA....

Panoti Chappell
by prince prince on Apr 05, 2007 12:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

during 2003 WC India was in great form, India was second only to Australia, it actually sounded as a threat to Australia, and have a look at the team and the game after Chappell entered, (mind it well even Chappell is an Australian), Chappell has calculatively and purposefully played dirty politics in and with are team, and we can see the Indian teams fiasco in the past few months as well as the WC. After every few days there is some news about Chappell and his games, is'nt this obvious for the readers of this board to understand simple logical game played by Chappell?
stop licking this chappell's backside.
stop supporting Chappell.
he has resigned for good

Panoti gaya.

India did well under chappell too for quite sometime....13 or so ODI wins in a row at one stage....he's a coach...he tried to clean the system as wat he saw was wrong....he tried to implement new strategies....is really all the blame to be laid on his feet if the players could't follow those things....wat was he supposed to do?? run out n bat n bowl for them also??? as for dirty politics in indian cricket they have been there in indian cricket long before chappell came and will be there long after he is gone.
