VVS Laxman was miffed at not being chosen for the WC squad. It was his dream to play for India in the WC. Now he must be thanking his stars for not beig able to join those who returned from the Caribbean with empty coconut shells.
Thats what he was hired for, let the Australia win (His home country) and let the Indians go down. . .face the defeat. . .I think he did his job perfectly!!!

Maybe you will do that if you are selected to coach Australia coz you are afterall an indian who dose not know what professionalism is.
Tendulkar's record speaks for itself : Sachin Tendulkar since Sept 2005 against Australia and SA in one day matches Innings : 11 Runs : 155 Average : 14.09 100s/50s : 0/1
No other team in the world would pick him on the above performance but for India he is "Master Blaster". BTW what has be blasted recently ?
As far as Ganguly is concerned, he could not even match Tendulkar''s number....and WOW we have countrymen defending these two and giving excuses for them.

nobody can save our team india. Players are greater than the Game itself. Remember during the start of the world cup 2007,Virender Sewag requested match practice with Coach greg chappel and the physio for the morning next day..The coach and physio were in the field next monrning and Virender sewag refused to get up from the bed saying he was not in mood for practice..leaving the Coach and physio in the field looking like clowns.
Tendulker,Sewag and others think themselves bigger than the game of Cricket and the Coach of the team.
I must congratulate Greg for his bold decision .At least he has indirectly owned the responsibility.Whereas our BCCI Chief is shamelessly trying find scapegoats. He as the leader of the Cricet empire should leave his chair and concentrate on the running of his ministry. He is the one who is responsible for high price of food materials. So he has failed both as BCCI Chief as well as a Minister. He criticised Sonia Gandhi but shamelessly nominated his daughter to the Rajya sabha. This sort of persons need to be physically booted out from all public posts.

AUSTRALIANS R FREE AND FRANK.THOSE PLAYERS WHO DONOT PERFORM THEY QUIT .U can find examles like waugh brothers, damien martin, michael bevan etc.But indian peoples are idiots they see only records. In last 3 years Tendulkar has shown no ability in playing under pressure.he has bad records batting in second innings.Tendulkar ang Ganguly when reach the score of 90 consumes large no of balls to reach 100 for personal record only.how can one forgets under chappel we have beaten southafrica in southafrica
I have always admired Saurav for his cricketing skills and was really hurt when he dropped in an insulting way... But...
I was surprised at the kind of reception Saurav Ganguly was given and also that he accepted it... Was he not a member of the Indian cricket team that performed so horribly in WI... Did he not represent India? Did he represent a particular state? Did he give any match winning performance there? What was the celebration about !!!!! Is Saurav not ashamed? Are his fans not sorry at Indian teams' (including Saurav's) dismal performance in the west indies?

Only the headline mentioned that Saurav for a warm reception... It was intentionally presented that way to get high viewership for the news clip.... The text of the news item as well as the picture describe his uneventful entry into the city - no crowds no applause. IMHO Saurav, Yuvraj and Sehwag among batsmen played well in patches, and couldn't raise their game when a collective effort was needed most. So apart from bad coaching, uninspiring captaincy, it was also bad team effort by each participating player, including Saurav.

Ganguly is the most selfish person is a known fact. So whats there to debate about it? These guys will rule the roost for another 3 years....mark my words another 3 - 4 years. By the way a small stat on our superstars. Tendulkar's record speaks for itself : Sachin Tendulkar since Sept 2005 against Australia and SA in one day matches Innings : 11 Runs : 155 Average : 14.09 100s/50s : 0/1

I AM SURE THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN FORCING GREG CHAPPELL OUT WILL ADOPT THE FOLLOWING STRATEGY HEREAFTER IN THE SERIESes TO FOLLOW:

HE NEEDS SOME TIME 2007/08 Feb-Mar AWAY: ODI series (B'desh, Ind, Sth Africa) in Bangladesh INDIA LIKELY TO BE RUNNERS UP: CHAPELL HAS CREATED SO MUCH MESS THAT NEW COACH IS STILL STRUGGLING TO CLEAR IT 2007/08 Mar AWAY v Bangladesh INDIA MAY WIN : BY NOW COACH IS 1 YEAR OLD. SO THE WORD NEW COACH IS REPLACED BY THE WORD 'COACH' ONLY. HE IS DOING A GOOD JOB 2007/08 Mar HOME v South Africa INDIA LIKELY TO LOSE: PERHAPS THE MESS CREATED BY CHAPELL WILL TAKE SOME MORE TIME TO CLEAR 2008 Apr AWAY v South Africa JUST NO HOPE: SO WHAT ? EVEN CHAPPELL FAILED LAST TIME !! 2008 Apr AWAY: Asia Cup (B'desh. Ind, Pak, Sri Lanka) in Pakistan LIKELY TO FINISH 3rd : GIVE THE COACH TIME TO SETTLE WITH THE NEW YOUNG TEAM 2008 May AWAY v Zimbabwe MAY WIN: DIDN'T I TELL YOU THE COACH IS DOING A GREAT JOB ? 2008 Jul-Aug AWAY v Sri Lanka LIKELY TO LOSE: SO WHAT ?!! SRILANKA ALWAYS PLAY BETTER AT HOME...CHAPPELL ALSO FAILED 2008/09 Sep-Oct AWAY: ICC Champions Trophy (Aus, Eng, Ind, Sth Africa, New Z'lnd, Pak, Sri Lanka, W Indies, Zim, B'desh) in Pakistan : INDIA WILL LOSE: CHAPPELL NE BHI TO NAHIN JITA THA WHEN CHAMPIONS TROPHY WAS HELD IN INDIA !!! 2008/09 Nov-Dec HOME v England MAY WIN: COACH IS GREAT: DADA JINDABAD 2008/09 Dec AWAY v Pakistan INDIA LIKELY TO LOSE ODIs: THE TEAM IS YOUNG..NEW PLAYERS NEEDS TIME TO SETTLE DOWN
2008/09 Jan AWAY v South Africa NO HOPE: REPEAT THE EXCUSES ABOVE AS SUITS FROM THIS SERIES ONWARDS.....
BESIDES THIS.....BURNING EFFIGIES OF CHAPPELL , DEMANDS OF MAKING SOURAV THE CAPTAIN (EVEN IF HE REFUSES) AS PER CONVENIENCE.....

good thinking amit i think its high time, the board/players stop giving the petty excuses after loss and start accepting the responsibility for the loss/ losses as the chappel did .

Good one Amit its the media causing headaches to the people and fans. They keep coming with all kind of special programs and analysis for each and every match
I wonder its like a cryptex with a lot more than just a simple resignation letter.Read the extracts..
1)It is, and it remains, one of the most challenging coaching positions in world cricket.
2)I am grateful to the players with whom I have worked in this time for the challenges that they presented me with .....
3)The people of India deserve a special mention as they are the ones whose attention, enthusiasm and love and support drive the great game, and BUSINESS, of cricket in this country, and around the world.
So check out the word BUSINESS. Apart from calling it as a favourite sport he calls it as a business
I think some dark secrets are hidden in this letter.I fear that the media which talks only about cricket will bring all psycho analysts and hold 1 long hour discussions and polls about why greg wrote tt that way.I am fed up of these TV news channels hungama.
