PAWAR TOLD GREG TO PACK HIS BAGS.....THUS THE STATEMENT OF RESIGNATION...............IF HE HAD FAMILIAL PRESSURE HE WOULD HAVE RESIGNED AFTER THE wc2007 FIASCO!!!
Does anyone remember when Sachin was gifted Rs 1 crore worth car he tried to misuse his status to aviod the import duty... Sachin Greg se kuch seekle , for God's sake and for ours sake....
Why dont BCCI make the loud mouth and idiotic Kris Srikanth the coach? He talks on TV like he is the know all of World Cricket. He can take the Indian Cricket Superstars to great heights.I am just dying to see what the next coach can offer to these fat obese egoistic unfit papertiger superstarts.

well... ppl are the eyeing the lucrative job opening with BCCI. so, expect more ppl to announce that they can set things right and lead the current team to glory, glory, and more glory!!
Very disappointing that he should leave. India definately needs a top quality international coach for the team to keep up with the rigours of international fitness. He met that requirement even though some may think he was not the best.
He must have realized, as I did, that once Tendulkar spoke against him, there was no chance - there was no way he would have been able to get along with the team after that.
Now that he is going, we are really stuck. I dont believe any of the candidates in India are suitable. None of the former cricketers with the exception of Gavaskar, Shastri and Venkat have travelled regularly overseas, seen first hand how the game is changing and interacted with international cricketers. Srikanth and Sidhu are idiots, Kapil Dev is not good enough and others are totally out of depth. Mohinder Amarnath may be the only decent possibility.
With all this controversy, and will Bob Woolmers death, we should be worried whether another foreigner will ever take up the job. Further, people like Steve Waugh are tougher and sterner than Chappell and will cope less with the ways of our cricketers. Dont expect we will find another candidate so easily.
And yes, I hope people like Tendulkar gracefully retire as well. Kumble was performing reasonably well, Chappell could not do much if senior batsmen with 10 years experience were failing but Tendulkar is a zero and needs to go!

Top qulity coach yes,but not Greg.Instaed of Sachin Ganguly should be kicked in his pants. It was he who brought him here.Remember the British subjugated India after Palassey.
we thank you for all your effort that you put in to see that there is some accountablilty for the players, but sadly, you were made scapegoat by the so call gods of indian cricket, atleast you have given us some back up players whom we can if the board wants rely and groom them for the future, the board really lacked the vision that you had so hard luck sir, I from the depth of my heart thank you for your courageous effort and commitmment for the team.
wishing you the very best for future, and i do wish that you again some day be an indian coach.

Well said. A fiting tribute to man who had the guts to call a spade a spade.
forget everything..before world cup, consider Bangladesh was a mistake. In a match against Srilanka what was coach suppose to do? simple target and mighty players(at least on paper)...I as cricket fan wouldn't mind not reaching last eight IF PLAYERS would have atleast tried to fight against Srilanka..
Chappell's resignation shows how powerful these so called senior players are..
We appreciate your work you have done for Team India.Being a Coach what you could possible to is- is to train the players to the best of your ability which I guess you certainly did. I want to remind all Greg critics is this - You cannot teach OLD DOG new tricks and You can take a Horse to Drink but you cannot make him.
Guru greg in 2 years of time ruined our well balanced team, divided our team aswell. He hit our legend Sachin, who is always away from any controversy stmts.Bcci should have taken steps to thrown him out after the WC exit or should have asked for resignation rather allowing him to resign by his own reason.
