Sachin & Greg
by arindam purkayastha on Apr 04, 2007 08:06 PM  Permalink

Sachin coming out with a loaded statement that he's hurt and all that the coach has allegedly said or done at this stage, doesn't make sense. He's trying to prolong his departure. His so called sacrifice for 17 years - wouldn't it have been better had he said that he's had the privilege of wearing the country colours for so many years? His past cannot guarantee him or rather, should not guarantee him an entry into the present. Let's be statistically minded and find out his averages over the last 2 years instead of treating him like a holy cow. Seems all selectors and commentators alike are overawed by his name. Let us judge objectively.

We Have Mr.Sharad Pawar and now there is no Need to Any Coach. He is well known player/coach in Indian Politics.

In Middist of controversy he continuing to fill up his Bank Balance and now his daughter too (Hong Kong Citizen) joined him and they both Teach Indian Cricketer How to Stick with Position without Loosing concentrate on MAIN MOTTO - BUILD BANK BALANCE - USE IT TO KEEP ALL MOUTH SHUT AND MAKE YOUR WAY.

See how Azahar entry in/with BCCI from Back door after Mr.Pawar take charge. Don't ever expect Honest Person In BCCI (e.g. Kapil) but ready to accept Jadeja, Gavaskar, Azahar etc. etc.

Thank god Greg is gone. Now let's get a coach who knows how to deal with varying personalities and isn't as authoratarian and inflexible.

A mark of a good coach is one who is able to deal with multiple personalities and can be flexible enough to get the best out of them. One who can harness and even refine the talent at his disposal. We don't need someone who constantly berates players. One who erodes their confidence instead of building it. I believe Greg played a big part in India's early exit.

Indian Team
by Prem Shukla on Apr 04, 2007 07:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Everybody impressed with Sachin outburst and forget about the same Chappell who had a lot of confidence in Sachin while he was not fit. But I think our senior players should have been shown way outside as they failed miserablly. Sunil Gavaskar once told someone that he you want to improve your batting bat before a mirror and you would find your mistake. In our country player does not play for the team, his past records play for him. If you see all seniors' innings in last 3 to 4 years, they played when it was obvious that without run they will be out of the team then they play one or two innings then encash it for months together. We always blamed coaches whether be Anshuman Geakwad, Sandeep Patil, Madan Lal one hand or John Wright or Greg Chappell on the other side. Coach does not play he guides to play better and ask play to show their potential, if sachin thinks that he is questioning his attitude then he should retrofit himself honestly, he will find the answer. But he will not do this as if he did, he will be out of adv. business overnight. Have you just seen how Sehwag gives his wicket, it is rediculous. His runout was hieght of that. How can you just give him another chance to do the same thing. Now it is high time to build team India as some very correctly saild that Send Md Kaif as captain and youngster team to Bangladesh. I will suggust leave Md Kaif too. Make Yuvraj Singh as captain and send a team Which is born in 1981 and after that. And prepare second lead team so that you always have a pool of telented players so that you need not to look back and ask gavaskar to pad for India. For Gavaskar I would say he still can play better than Sachin. Now What we are saying and thinking or whatever, nothing will happen, as nobody is interested in Crecket everybody is businessman and think about business in Crecket that's it.

Why you have spared Dravid, is he not earning money through ads and BCCI. Is Dravid not responsible for India's debacle or has dravid scored enough runs in the world cup, he failed aganist bangladesh and as captain lost aganist both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. R u still going to blame other senior playes for Dravid and Greg's failure. Has Greg not earned money, afterwall Greg was the highest paid coach in the world. Please give reasons why Dravid and Greg should be spared.

1. you failed in your duty number one in this world cup - make runs

2. you blaming your coach. nomatter how bad he is. he did not hold your bat in match against sri lanka. so why you complaining. moreover a coach can just coach. he cant uncoach. its your problem that you cannot learn anything from him.

3. now you are playing politics by meeting powar etc etc.

SO FINALLY you got what you deserved

1. A DUCK and BOLD on your last world cup match.

Agree with You completely. Its another attempt by Tendulkar to play with the emotions of the people of this country. He believes that emotional Indian public would not only forgive him but support him against Chappell. An attempt to keep on playing for the country and earn money in endorsements. If you really have guts Mr. Tendulkar than quit gracefully instead of holding others responsible for your dismal performance. As very well said 'Chappell did not hold your bat against sri lanka'. You have played for yourself in the last 4 years. No one can forget your behaviour when Dravid decalred the innings against Pakistan in team interest (with u on 194). Again that was a pathetic innings and u never seemed to play for the team. Had Dravid not declared the match would have ended in a draw!.But u were only interested in your double hundred. There have been scores of such incidents. Even in 17 years of your career you have failed in all crucial matches.(except against Aus in 1998 and pakistan in 2003).

TIme has come for you to say good bye.
